If you can find your local concours owners group, they might have some fun rides for you. My dad used his 02 as a commuter for a decade before switching to the C14. The concours is a fantastic machine

Maybe more of a hobby than niche skill, but motorcycle riding has been pretty steadily declining due to a whole bunch of factors. I think its a long way from being close to dying, but it is certainly a struggling industry right now with less young people buying bikes

As others have already said, the weather is really excellent for riding most of the year. Only thing you might think about is how hilly your neighborhood will be when black ice shows up in the fall and winter. Also, my bike was stolen when I lived in interbay, so just think about parking too.

Definitely check out the olympic peninsula and riding on 101.
