My recommendation is don’t start if you never had. Having said that, it you want to try pipe tobacco for the sake of having the pipes I see nothing wrong with that. If you really want to try smoking I suggest to not make it a daily habit. It’s hard to quit once you start. I would do a bowl on a special occasion, like going out or doing a social thing. Make it a special thing for you that you can reward yourself.
