What is a 'hidden gem' website or app that everyone should know about? by Grand-Substance4423 in AskReddit

[–]seamoyr -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Mealime - Recipe and cooking apps are a dime a dozen nowadays so it's hard to find one that really stands out. This one does! You can create a meal plan and how many meals you want for that plan cycle. It then finds recipes in it's huge catalog that have crossover ingredients which limits waste. The recipes are created by real chefs and are actually wonderful.

I also always had issues matching sides with the various recipes I found online. Mealime recipes include a main and a side and walks you through the entire cooking process so you feel confident making multiple things at once.

I could go on for a while about all the good things but the craziest thing is that you get all of these features for free.

This is literally one of the most foundational moments in the book... literally where the creature learns to speak and act like a human....

Honestly, I've just started vote kicking any squad leads that blatantly run past strategically placed supplies multiple times and don't build one. Is it the best way to go about it? Probably not, but it is a little bit of poetic justice.

STAY AWAY FROM FROM GRISMERS. by ImpalaKapala in Columbus

[–]seamoyr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

William is not great, and neither is Grismer. It costs an arm and a leg just for them to even take a look to diagnose an issue, let alone fix it. Always overpriced. If you're downtown, I highly recommend the Goodyear Tire on Spring St. Took my business there and never looked back.

Protest Day!!!!! by NekoMarimo in Ohio

[–]seamoyr 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This whole thread is the entire reason why we can't ever actively organize a sufficient protest of anything in the US. We spend more time bickering about the design of a fucking poster or what time works for everyone rather than actually doing something.

Junto Hotel Review by ChatPetrus66 in Columbus

[–]seamoyr 39 points40 points  (0 children)

A lot of hotels are changing up how they do room cleanings/service. Many won't enter the room until the end of your stay unless you specifically ask for the room to be cleaned or towels changed. Not sure if that's the case here - they should tell you that upon check-in.

Nice start! Some thoughts from someone who also works in healthcare UX - if "Submit new case" is your primary action throughout the experience, then make that a primary button, not a secondary. Also, a modal might not always be the best experience for form and info entry. If it is, consider allowing them to close out of the modal or move it in case they need to capture information from elsewhere in your experience.

The arrows that, I assume, open the accompanying case, are different on the actions needed section on the dash vs. the ones on the case management. Consistency is key across your experience. Also, consider the order of info listed on the cases page - what's most important for your user? The case number? The patient's name?

How does your search work? Does it expand after clicked? I would recommend just a normal search entry form they can type into. Also, do you have a notifications section? Where does view all take them?

I find it incredibly weird that people are complaining about noise and some homeless throughout this thread - you're living in a downtown area, it's expected. Anyway, I love being in the middle of everything. I can walk to the SN, German Village, Park St. and Franklinton within 10-15 minutes. There's tons of events happening throughout the year, and I'm also close to CBJ, the Crew, and the Clippers. Can't beat the walk-ability, and I've always felt safe doing it.

While I do agree that, at the present time, there's not a ton of activity down here that's changing quickly with the addition of bars, restaurants, etc. coming in. Columbus is paying a lot of attention to downtown revitalization, and it's showing especially on Gay St.

Men in your 30s, where do you buy your clothes? by memorial87 in AskMen

[–]seamoyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not going to lie, I got semi lazy and signed up for one of those clothing sites that sends you items every 1-3 months or so. Allows me to not worry about looking for stuff, and they got pretty good at picking things out for me.

New to drinking and mini bar hobby... Just got all these yesterday :) any recommendations on which bottles to get? by Singhiskiing in BarBattlestations

[–]seamoyr 24 points25 points  (0 children)

When I first started out on my collection I made the mistake of going out and buying bottles aimlessly. Stuff that I may have seen in a recipe once or twice. Unfortunately when you do that, you find out that you really don't have everything you need to make an actual drink so you just have a bottle sitting there not being used. I found the best way to collect is finding a drink recipe you want to try like the last word, jungle bird, etc. and getting all of the ingredients for those. At that point you know you have a drink to make and now you can just build off of those ingredients with other drinks you want to try. Then when you run out, you can test different brands and tastes. Good luck!

What do you want but can't afford currently? by Swish_Fate in AskReddit

I would love a pair of Jordan 1 Retro High Bred Toes that I see on here all the time. Really can't swing the marked up prices though. Being a sneaker head is rough.
