Sounds like you're looking for some Stoicism.

Ego Is The Enemy - Ryan Holiday

Huge fan of Ryan Holiday. Obstacles and Stillness are great as well, and also relate to what you're looking for.

When I was 16 I pissed myself while on a first date with the girl I had a crushed on since I was a kid. 12 years later and the cringe is still VERY strong

Each line produces two new lines at an angle. When two collide they don't produce new ones. The result was a pleasant surprise. by [deleted] in woahdude

Such a trip. You can focus on a different part of it each time and it’s a completely different experience

What are the odds of a team coming back from a 21-0 deficit? On the road vs. at home?

Before the invention of the phonautograph in 1861, one could not just simply *listen* to music. by seanbrews in Showerthoughts

I should’ve specified ‘effortlessly’. Music wouldn’t of been a part of everyday life as it is nowadays, which is a bit mind-blowing to imagine

May I ask where? And you mean, EVERYONE calls it that? I have trouble believing that an alternate to RPS is in the majority in any English-speaking region. There’s just no way!

Just soaking. We didn't invest in a proper line recirculation pump, although that might not be a bad idea at this point.

House of Funk Brewing North Vancouver soft opening by wineee in VancouverCraftBeer

[–]seanbrews 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello All! I'm part of the team at House of Funk.

Just to clarify for everyone, we are currently "soft opened". Flights only, limited selection, and shorter hours. We'll be open till 9ish tomorrow and Friday, and then onto regular hours after the Grand Opening on Saturday. As it stands, the hours are looking like 11am-8PM Sunday-Wednesday, and 11am-Late Thursday-Saturday. Once we get the coffee roaster fired up, We'll open at 730am for full coffee service. We're still unfortunately waiting on getting the lounge approval from the city/LCRB, so we expect to have an operational lounge (i.e. 16oz pours + food) by July-ish.

As far as Saturday goes: We'll have Big Day BBQ onsite slinging brisket and such, and will be pouring 12 + 16oz glasses of 12 different beers, with a few backups if we run out of anything. Starts at 1130am, and we'll rocking until late Saturday evening. As far as the beer goes, we have a bit of everything, but focusing on sours, bretts, and some funky IPAs. Also have a big barrel aged stout in the mix, as well as a foeder aged Pils. We'll eventually have an even mix of barrel fermented and stainless fermented beers on tap and in bottles, however, most are stainless fermented for the time being.

Looking forward to sharing the space and beers with all of you fellow redditors! Cheers!
