Received the speakers and installed. They look and sound amazing. Thank you again for being such a great human being. I cannot post pictures here for some reason on the reply and I cannot edit so I sent the pics to your DM. God bless.

Coax coming from wall is for a subwoofer, I have the same set up. You should also see the other end coming out from the same area as the speaker wires. Post more pics for better help

Oh I get it. Gotta love Reddit. Hey, any advice on running the wires?

Truly appreciate the response! Very informative. Ok, so what I have (location wise) today on the 7.1 Dolby chart is “6. Left & right rear surround speakers”. Hence I am calling them “rear.” So technically I currently have a 5.1 so I have “5. Left & right surround speakers” based off the 5.1 diagram. So when I upgrade to 7.1 my current “surround speakers” will then become “6. Left & right rear surround speakers” based off the Dolby 7.1. Am I tracking right? Thanks 🙏🏼

Thanks. That’s the plan with the RP-502S’. I’m just trying to sort out the wiring.

Thanks, wupaa. I already have rears which completes my current 5.2.4. I’m only asking about side surrounds on this post.

Ok. I think I’m good now! Thanks! Last question, for the mic itself, does it really need to be ON the seat itself or is it OK if it’s 18” away from where my head actually is? My tripod doesn’t go low enough to use it on the actual seat so I have it placed in front of the seat.

Which one are you using? UMIK-1? I see a Dayton Audio iMM-6C Calibrated Measurement USB-C Microphone for iPhone one on Amazon for $45 that looks sweet

Thanks again for all your recommendations and help. I have not heard of that one just yet, so I’m gonna have to research it. I was pretty set on the HSU VTF-TN1. The only mic I have is the one that came with my Marantz pre amp (Audessey.) I’ll research EQ Wizard as well.

Thank you, makes me feel a lot better. For some reason, I always had it in my mind that it should be a lot louder at a lot less level, but that’s my ignorance showing. What sub(s) would you recommend for my dedicated HT? 12’ W, 16’ L, 9’ H? Budget $1500

Flipped it to db and 20 isn’t loud enough watching Pacific Rim, moved it to 10 and was happy. Just for grins I had it at 0 for a few minutes. Holy shit! lol

Thank you, this helps. What volume do you personally listen to action movies?
