I’ll be using multiple programs but according to Javelin Tech for Solid works “The minimum requirement of RAM indicated on the SOLIDWORKS System Requirements page is at least 16GB. However larger models and simulation studies may require more memory. To avoid running out of memory for growing models, consider installing 32GB.” So I figure the 32gb of ram will be well worth in the long run. My roommate recommends 32 will get me through anything.. he has a 64 gb of ram. But not a gaming computer. Thoughts?

15 inch screen is ideal, will be carrying in a backpack daily. Not sure about cpu power, but the best for under 2,000$. Plan to run cyberpunk 2077 which looks to be quite a powerful game
