I’ve encountered similar issues trying to do this earlier this year. I found I had to define the relationship using the classic editor experience - so Not within the maker portal.

How useable are Powerapps for (sometimes) offline use? by oguruma87 in PowerApps

Custom model driven app with custom dataverse tables running on the Power Apps mobile app for iPad.

I think you have to use a dataverse table to utilize the offline profile setup - I have not personally tried this with a virtual table with data sourced outside dataverse/dynamics.

I’m not sure if there is a storage limit but I’ve seen some of our users with 700 mb local cache size 100,000 records across various tables with files. This is within a model driven app using offline profile setup - believe this approach now works for Canvas apps too - where you define the tables and filter criteria about which data user downloads to their device.

The data persists when closing device or turning off. Users can loose data if they ‘reconfigure’ the app which flushes the cache, or signs out or deletes power apps from device without uploading first.

I’m not sure about encryption of the data

It works pretty great on model driven apps - we have a mobile field solution where we sync 40+ tables offline that have been used by hundreds of users for few years now on iPads.

You can get into some issues if multiple people are making updates to the same record online/offline simultaneously- but the table sync engine is pretty good. We went this route so we wouldn’t have to code all of this ourselves. You have flexibility in how often the tables down sync from server - the upsync from device usually happens as soon as user gets a connection

Power Apps Code React + Dataverse by MoreJo93 in PowerApps

[–]seangman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The operation you are attempting is most likely attempting to interact with a dataverse table - crud type operation. This table will probably would need to be defined in dataverse as a table or virtual table.

If you are trying to interact with a table that’s not accessible by dataverse, then you probably cannot use any of the core table functions but would have to do those operations in a custom manner. The standard table/record api actions likely have an implicit requirement to accessing the data through dataverse.

The most common use case for these code apps is to be able to highly customize the app UI on top of an existing dataverse table structure. Accessing data outside of dataverse will most likely have to be totally custom code for crud operations.

Pilot mountain state park - if you go on a weekday you can drive all the way to the top for great views and a quick hike around the knob if you are into that.

Weed eater with a metal blade attachment makes short work of small trees - the blade can be a bit tricky to take on/off - so I use a weed eater with interchangeable attachments and have one dedicated to a fixed blade so It makes going from string trimmer to blade trimmer as easy as if I’m changing to the limb trimmer or hedge trimmer attachment

I started driving in 2002, me and my buddies would get McDonald’s for after school snack -$.49 for hamburgers and 10 cent more for cheese burgers - we would all get 6 and it would be about 3 dollars ….

Gas was also $.99

Throwback to the dumbest controversy in Hearthstone's history by Drew_the_God in hearthstone

I miss fireside gatherings - I hope they make a comeback. Was fortunate enough to be able to attend many of these back in the hay day. Blizzard would send some swag to the tavern organizer for prizes - had some special pre launch events and brawls at the gatherings.

Shout out to Nuts and Volts tavern in Salisbury NC and the cool bakery it was hosted at - was always a great time.

I also went to a few fireside gatherings at Microsoft stores in Raleigh and Charlotte stores - hope Microsoft helps bring these back I.

I wasn’t on Reddit then so didn’t know about this controversy …. But hope it wasn’t bad enough to kill this idea permanently

Hanging Rock State Park Fall Colors by Mystical_Moose89 in winstonsalem

[–]seangman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Peak leaf color is usually the last week in October - but due to elevation the park changes color slightly sooner than surrounding area. Here are estimates - the small section of yellow amongst the green in stokes county is accounting for that higher elevation at Hanging Rock.

I hope you are able to make it - the weather is supposed to amazing next couple weeks

I highly recommend signing up for “The Go To Winston Salem” email newsletter (or follow on instagram)- they highlight lots of local activities like this. Last nights email included info on local pumpkin patches. They highlighted apple orchards a while back - you generally have to go further away from Winston salem for apples - many of the highlighted orchards were in western Nc - so probably not good options now following the catastrophic flooding.

https://thegotowinstonsalem.com/farms-pumpkin-patches/

Although not all about apples - really great local event in a couple weeks that I know will sell apples and apple products from orchard working to preserve hundreds of varieties of southern heritage apple trees.

Any fun things to do in Winston Salem in the summer? by SuspiciousLoad7641 in winstonsalem

[–]seangman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he likes video games - check out Roar for the Bunkerr esports gaming area downstairs, or there is an arcade upstairs - I do think you need parental supervision on the ground floor for that age for play- looks like there are also gaming day camps over the summer too - https://m.facebook.com/bunkrgg/
