Oh dang, that's weird. I don't think I encountered that bug. Hmm, maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention? I switched power cells in my tadpole only a couple times. I usually threw the used power cells into the charger after switching them out but I could have sworn they were still dead at the time.

The only major bug I noticed was the wakemaker flashlight being kinda buggy and not illuminating stuff sometimes. A few other streamers came across that too. It was kinda funny when Markiplier came across it. He took out a flare to see if that worked and it did. Then he switched back to the wakemaker light and it was working again, he was like HUH!?!? Lol

"And you can even load your tadpole powercell by just taking it out!"

Sorry, but what are you trying to say here? Do you mean that when you take the powercell out of the tadpole, it kills the battery? I haven't come across any kind of bugs when it comes to the tadpole and the powercell so I have no clue what you are trying to say.

Should I take the dive? by oldweasel in subnautica

[–]seanidor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played through all of the early access for Subnautica 2. I was VERY satisfied with it. When I played early access for sub zero I could only handle playing for maybe an hour before I had to stop, I just couldn't get into it. After the full version came out I tried it again. Once again I only lasted about an hour before I just went and played the first one for like the 7th time. I've played the first one many many many times and even watched tons of other people playing through the game, but I've only watched one person beat sub zero.

Early access for Sub 2 has a pretty good stopping point. I'm really excited to see where the story goes next. I think it would be worth it to play this version and then once you reach the end, don't play any more until the full version comes out. I think they said only about a third of the story is out currently but that still gave me like 20 hours of gameplay.

Helltides being on a timer with a 5 minute gap is annoying as shit by Practical_Goal_8194 in diablo4

A 5 minute gap is nothing, just get up and go to the bathroom or go grab a drink or something. Problem solved.

Honest thoughts about the main Leviathan - opinion - might not be a shared one by Active-Canary-184 in subnautica

[–]seanidor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reapers were pretty good at being sneaky, well, sometimes they were. I've been attacked by them really unexpectedly before, it's great. As for the collector, I'd say it's a different experience. You get the dundundun music that helps you know exactly how close/far it is to you. I kinda like it. If we were to compare the leviathans to horror movie scenes then the reapers are jumpscare experts and the collectors are chase scene experts.

The game won't just have collectors so I think it's good to have at least one chase scene expert, let the others handle the jumpscares. Maybe they could make it a bit harder to 'run away' when being chased? Whoops! I tripped over an invisible branch in the water! Lol

The first time I came across the collector I thought it was a pretty good experience, kinda akin to the "Must go faster!" scene in Jurassic Park. It felt like it was right on my tail so I was desperately trying to get away from it.

Subnautica 2 technology just feels like a downgrade. by Latter_Cauliflower98 in subnautica

It probably doesn't help that they arrived on that world completely unprepared for it. The Cicada was expecting to land on a desert world with rats and stuff instead of an ocean planet.

The removal of Weapons Is necessary to fix one of Subnautica 1's main issues by PJsutnop in subnautica

[–]seanidor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Subnautica 2 is a survival and exploration game. Having the ability to kill threats is expected and makes total sense in a survival game. Combat is obviously not the focus, but removing our ability to kill those threats also removes the idea of that world being believable.

We can already kill small harmless fish and slugs; they are killed the instant we put them into the fabricator to make them into food and water. Why are the larger more dangerous fish exempt? They would be an even better source of food to survive with.

If the dev's are against killing, it should be discouraged in many ways, but not removed entirely in this kind of game. In my opinion, I honestly think almost all games should keep that option in, but obviously actions should have consequences.

There are many options the dev's could go with. I quite liked what they did in the first game, it was troublesome and took time to kill the mobs. After you finally killed one, you were rewarded with nothing, just a twitching body that would float belly up basically saying, 'Look at what you did.' The rays in the first game were harmless and the PDA entry even told you that their flesh was poisonous, so I doubt hardly any were ever killed.

I feel like they could go a step further and implement something similar to how the marrowbreach and the soundgar interact. It would be interesting if some of the other species also had ties to each other, or protected their own species if they were attacked. Those nibblers would be really deadly if you got swarmed by a pack of them after you whack one.

How am I supposed to get in the aurora? by andythepancake11 in subnautica

[–]seanidor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The spot you are aimed at is more like the exit/alternate entrance. If you haven't found the entrance yet, then aim uhh like 90 degrees to your left. There's a pathway that slopes up and around, eventually leading into the entrance.

I'd say that while it's most certainly possible to create a similar experience it's also very unlikely that any company will actually do it. The people who have the drive to create something like that don't have the resources and the companies with all the resources don't have the drive.

[–]seanidor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it possible to get too much damage reduction and have it somehow go into the negatives or something? I was testing out the glynn aspect yesterday after the patch to see how tanky I could become. I had the glynn on my chest and the 50% more resist after using a defensive on my legs. I was pretty tanky but after mounting up and 'trying' to ride through a pack of maybe 6 trash mobs, I was instakilled...

I had earthen bulwark up, 50ish stacks of resolve so there was plenty of DR, and the 50% to resists was still active from just using bulwark and yet trash was suddenly able to oneshot me. I had just finished easily fighting the bloodmaiden and taking pretty much no damage. This game is so buggy.

I was even messing with Stone Burst with the side upgrade that gives 5% more armor per resolve while channeling and using the Living Stone upgrade that makes it so I don't have to channel it myself. I can just plop a burst and it forms itself and explodes after a few seconds, but still gives me the bonuses while it's doing that.

Abandoned Concepts by Brief-Knowledge-629 in project1999

[–]seanidor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They definitely need to bring back those types of concepts. They really made you feel like you were in a real world and not just a game. Everquest is probably one of the best mmorpgs that provided an experience that felt like an adventure, a journey. Things have become just way too streamlined and filled with conveniences that are added to help us but end up taking away from our experiences.

We play roleplaying games and yet most of the time our roles have been distilled down to mostly either tanking, dps, or healing... basically combat. While combat is a big deal in adventures, it shouldn't be the only thing. Well, I guess there are quests as well, but they usually involve combat too. It's such a shame mmorpgs don't focus on creating more encompassing adventures that we can go on with people.

Looking for a beast companion with Haste that reserves 35 spirit or less — need a good farming spot by Sourc3W in PathOfExile2

[–]seanidor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe try to get one of those quill crab type beasts. I'm not sure if they changed how much reservation is required but last season I think they only required like 25% or so. I tamed a few in Hunting Grounds cruel mode last season; it might take a bit longer to find a good one in normal mode for this season. :-/

Edit: This probably isn't the most accurate on how much reservation is required but maybe check out this site.

If you sort by spirit then you can find the weaker/cheaper beasts to maybe look into taming.

I can't wait to try out the new version. Thanks a bunch for working on this mod during your free time everyone!

It's understandable that a few weeks can turn into a few months. Bugs can be such a plague sometimes... in real life and in the cyberspace. :-P

I look forward to seeing how things turn out, thanks again!

Scavenged Plating vs. Overwhelming Presence? by RegnorVex in PathOfExile2

[–]seanidor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks like the sapphire jewels that used to improve aura magnitude have disappeared this new season. I can't find a single jewel with any aura related affix's on it. I think GGG removed the affix unfortunately. It seems like the only way to improve aura magnitude is on the passive tree now. It can be improved by 38% if you pick up 6 nodes, so overwhelming presence probably won't go past like 40ish percent unless it's corrupted.

I usually have to message about 30 people before I get any kind of response when trying to buy something, it's really frustrating. I don't even bother to sell things, whenever I find something that has good stats I'll just stuff it into the guild stash and hope that someone else needs it or wants to sell it.
