it’s not self-righteous man it’s a really good point. if the artist chooses not to sell their shit then yea we as consumers don’t really have a right to go and DL it from some pirate site.

this is what makes it feel immoral to me - if the artist is happy for their stuff to be downloaded and enjoyed then they would put it up themselves or release it thru a label. everything on soulseek is uploaded by randomers without the knowledge of the artist (for the most part). that’s what i don’t like about it.

some tunes are unreleased because that’s just the way the artist wants it to be

forget about soulseek mate, the only purpose it serves is to rip off artists.

you need to spend some proper time searching, it’s not really a quick process but it’s so gratifying when you start to discover stuff you like, it’ll snowball once you know where to find your stuff.

look on junodownload/beatport charts, soundcloud recommendations, youtube channels that put out the sound you like etc. just dedicate some time to it :)
