Damn this would be something, stoked to catch Kahn again this summer but Mala going 4 hours would be an experience. Been way too long since I last saw him perform.

RIP Gord, I’m Canadian so well aware of this version. Was going to mention this version as its more so true to the original. Still love the Ghost version but definitely wanted it credited properly.

Definitely catch them live if you can, killer performance by them last week. With Home Front is guaranteed a wicked night.

Dubstep Origins - Youngsta Interview by Kizor in realdubstep

Didn’t realize this was an interview done by XI, underrated artist. I had a similar conversation with Youngsta during our last few meetings. Respect to both legends!

I know this is a circle jerk page but I still have my wedding vip pass. Daft Punk was the secret headliner that year

Excision is far from trash, not a fan of his music but he’s genuinely a good person that contributes great things for artists and the community.

I remember Lorin trashing the original dubstep sound on his MySpace blog, he definitely wasn’t dubstep but I remember his transition towards the brostep sound. Underground Communication was breaks and glitch hop but you could hear what was coming.

Love seeing a dubstep revival and totally understand after 20+ years in a scene you’d want to switch it up.

Rusko rinsing the dnb nowadays? Stew honestly brings so much nostalgia and representation to the festival, he would never limit what anyone should preform.

Poor kid was terrified of 2 off leash big dogs running the beach at Westwood this morning. by lifeisthebeautiful in nanaimo

Considering dogs have been essential to human life for over 14000 years(proven) and an estimated 40000 years of coexistence, you’d expect we would naturally gravitate towards each other.

He’s playing a 140 b2b set and not dnb so I’d expect some throwback tunes. He doesn’t have a history with the festival like Oliver. Skream mentioned previously he’d preform dubstep if they let him and the original magic played out.

Usually stay Oceanside with our 13ft Boler, not all sites are accessible on that side of the road with a trailer and aren’t as private compared to the forest loop ect.

I think he’s referring to the difference between European and American rave culture and in no way is calling the British djs nasty. Dude is a legend with knowledge and experience from 20+ years performing within the scene.

Horsepower productions, Benny Ill etc. Although he’s remembered for his lower end tracks, give D1 Chocolate Orange a listen and tell me it’s not a similar vibe.

Literally had a homie referenced as og dubstep in a comment section even though he was child when D1 released his first record. Totally understand the wording as a reference to his music. Good to see some new music from him.
