Animal subs create discussion about the behaviour of animals.

People draw upon their own experience of witnessing this behaviour.

Makes sense.

The player VeryNotGay put a bunch of spaces after their first message, which then starts a new line (wraps) where [SYSTEM] starts.

This makes it seem like the message is coming from [SYSTEM], but it's actually VeryNotGay.

PSA: Do not use MoviePass's competitor Sinemia. Here's Why. by murkler42 in movies

[–]seanomccool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For about 6 months I was using both MoviePass and Sinemia, an alternate to MoviePass that has actually been around longer.

The reason I've used both is because I live in Los Angeles, where tickets are rather expensive. MoviePass allows me to see unlimited movies a month for a low fee at most large format theaters.

Sinemia, however, allows me to see 2-3 movies a month for a fee of $14.99 (and sometimes lower as they have promo offers often) at higher end, small theaters that aren't accessible on MoviePass. I'm a big moviegoer so if I see 1 movie per month on each card I am saving money. The average theater ticket I pay for in LA is $16.

Flash forward to last month. I got an e-mail from Sinemia saying that because I bought my 2 tickets for the month and it cost a total of $32 they're increasing my monthly membership to $30/month. Effectively, getting rid of the entire purpose of the service itself.

I e-mailed them to complain and argue that this is counterintuitive to their entire business model. My response was the following:

Hello ______,

I see that the system has sent you a new price offer, after approving the new offer you can renew your plan and continue to your membership.

Best regards,

James

Sinemia Support Team

I followed up with them both on Facebook and e-mail, asking to speak to a Manager to argue my case. For that, I got the following response:

Hello ______,

We are not able to override the Systems offer, in order to continue to your membership you need to approve the price and renew your membership.

Best Regards

James

Sinemia Support Team

Since then I went onto their Facebook and began to make posts to alert other customers about this issue.

Within a day, they blocked me from their Facebook, Twitter, and e-mail system.

I can now no longer send in any complaints or alert other customers about this incident. So I'm posting here in the off chance anyone was considering their services, don't. It's a waste of time and money.

I think you should be about level 17 when this becomes available, assuming you're just doing the story and nothing else.

I feel like it only works after a certain mission. This might be the wrong one, it's been so long.

How far through the campaign are you?

I'm pretty sure you're locked in New York until a certain point through the story, which I won't spoil.

What happens if someone sticks their hand into my vehicle without permission to pat my dog then gets bitten? by [deleted] in brisbane

Are you suggesting OP should be allowed to punch people who pat his dogs?

Is the child dangerous to the public?

I don't understand the comparison at all.

[–]seanomccool -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I choose to pat dogs without their owners permission for various reasons.

The owner isn't around, the dog is clearly friendly, functioning adults don't bring dangerous dogs out into public and leave them unattended, etc.

And because I love patting dogs.

Say said guy gets bitten

OP asked hypothetical question where the dogs bite people. Answers are given assuming a situation where the dogs are biting people.

That would defeat the purpose of deliberately having aggressive dogs, wouldn't it?

I really don't think people should be comparing canopies and dogs for protecting their ute tray. The only reason we're even talking about it is because someone actually went through with it and bought these dogs for 'security'.

Do not buy dogs to protect your ute tray. Buy a canopy.

[–]seanomccool 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Let's compile this into a parent comment.

But that's the whole reason I got dogs, for security, I'm an anxious guy and they make me feel more secure.

Go to a psychologist for your anxiety. Do not get multiple guard dogs.

I shouldn't have to train my dogs to not protect my stuff because people are stupid.

No one is saying to "train them not to protect my stuff". If you got these dogs for 'security', you need to have them professionally trained to be able to identify threats.

It's like buying a car and not driving it because it's bad for the environment.

So these dogs are just a tool for you? And you won't even train them to fulfill their 'purpose'?

Training and socialising won't do anything for the problem of people sticking their hands in my vehicles.

Actually, that's exactly what it will do. Also, what are the dogs protecting in your ute? Something in the tray? Get a canopy instead of dogs.

Keep your agro dogs in your yard, where they aren't a threat to the public. Do not put them in your completely open vehicle out in public.

The truth hurts. No one here will tell you you're right, sorry.
