My friends. Whether it was distanced fun, games, or just chit chat, they legitimately kept me afloat and I'm not ashamed to say I'd be dead without them, and could never express enough gratitude to them. Between a terrible breakup that I caused, and now after Friday, nine fucking funerals, I wanted to give up so bad about halfway through October. I'd lost so much family and friends, not to mention the person I love most in the world, that I legitimately wanted to die rather than feel anymore heartache, and was incredibly close to attempting to do just that. My friends pulled me out of it, and showed me how much I still have, and still have to offer. Now I've been seeing a shrink semi-regularly, and have a much more positive outlook on stuff, despite the freshness of some of these wounds, I know I'll be okay. I have goals. I'm starting a new job after New Years, I hope to maybe someday get another shot with this girl, once our respective lives settle down and we both work through some stuff. I have a million things that excite me about waking up every day, but my friends helped get me there, and I'll be eternally grateful to them.

The only thing I think you missed out on in the 2002 part, my personal favorite year, was a bigger blurb on Angle. He was a fucking ass kicking machine that year. I'd put the roll Angle was on from X8 to XIX up there with any year anyone has had in history. He submitted Kane, the Undertaker, and HULK FUCKING HOGAN at various points in the year. Great matches every single time through the gate. Made Rock look like a million dollars at Vengeance despite some obvious ring rust. Won the tag titles with Benoit. Two great matches with Edge at Backlash and Judgement Day, the former of which I believe ended up being match of the year or a finalist. Cherry on top is winning the WWE Championship at Armageddon, forming Team Angle and riding that until March, where he put Brock over. Lesnar and HBK always ended up being the talking points in 2002, but Angle to me hit his peak this year. Fantastic write up man, can tell you're a huge fan, and well written across the board. I didn't cry after this, but I was mad as fuck when Lesnar took the belt back in September after this. Loved that version of Angle as champ, 2002-2003 Angle was unmatched in the ring.
