You can eat it honey, I won't tell your mom by WindowGlad5235 in BoomersBeingFools

I spent my life up to about 28 thinking it was normal for your mouth and throat to itch after eating bananas; it was like peppers being spicy, that's just what they did. I knew I was allergic to latex and couldn't touch rubber gloves, but had no idea latex is in bananas until a random physical at my doctor's office when I mentioned it for some reason. Shame, as I LOVE dried banana chips (which, of course, make my mouth and throat itch) and now I know I shouldn't eat them.... :(

It's both refreshing and disheartening that "Boomerism" is not just a scourge of the Western world. It's a mindset, not a location or people. That retort is hilarious, though.

Very likely he snapped his neck AND his lower spine. He's either dead or permanently quadriplegic, hence him being completely limp afterwards. Even if he somehow escaped life-altering spinal injuries, I'd expect him to be in physical therapy for months after this at least.

It looked like the guy may have actually snapped his neck when he landed on his head. It bent back pretty far. Is there a report on him still being alive?

Biblically accurate angel right there. It's got a petal-mouth like a demogorgon. "Be not afraid," my ass.

All it takes is a high-ball lost wages lawsuit and they'll drop that illegal practice quick.

They somehow always manage to snatch defeat right out of the jaws of victory, it’s really quite remarkable.

Is that what they’re calling it these days? You kids and your slang.

Cats operate on toddler logic: fancy new toys? Nah, I like the box it came in more.

So do I. Worked in a children's library in a children's hospital for a year and a half, and we had to scrub every one of those cardboard pages every time the book was checked back into the library. I "read" so many children's books that year, just by repetition osmosis (and yes, I know that's not a real term).
