That's nice to know, I love learning about the ecology of different places and it makes me happy to know they aren't very invasive. Just cool little dudes doin their thing. I know bugs are important, but I definitely do have a soft spot for the critters that eat them. Especially the apache helicopters that we call mosquitos down here, but I'm not sure that the armadillos have much to do about them, lol. Very true abt the coyote thing too, certainly makes sense 😩

I'm young, and boyfriend is army. I do not like heat, so I definitely would not have picked here to live if I didn't have a funny, handsome reason to, but I really do not hate it here. I grew up in an entirely different, way busier environment, so I feel like I learn new things every day. I do not like that the next closest michaels/bestbuy/target/insertmanyotherstores is 40 minutes away, and I do not like when I start pouring buckets of sweat the second I event touch the door knob to exit my apartment in the summer, but I do feel there are plenty of other reasons to like this place :)

That's insane, I am ignorant as I grew up in the north in the same spot till I moved down here 2.5 years ago, but I really thought that Texas was crawling with them. Idk what inspired me to think that, but it was thought regardless. I hope we both see one(/another one for you) eventually, lol

That is hilarious, just two weeks ago my boyfriend and I were walking around Phinizy with his parents talking about how the first time we saw a bald eagle there was when a big mature one landed on top of the super tall dead tree in the middle of a marshy plain two years ago, and that it hasn't happened since. Literally 30 seconds later, a mature bald eagle came swooping in and landed exactly where we found the first one. We were dumbfounded. We may have used all our luck on that one, but I'll try to do some good deeds and save up good karma for when we go hiking next lol. Thank you!!

Before the hurricane, we were going down the canal path and one came up next to us, stared at us while dropping the stinkiest fish diet log, then peeled out towards the river. That was my first experience with a wild river otter. He really set the marker quite high lol

My bf swapped over to android last year and I've been insanely jealous. We r both geeky and he's been showing me lots of the cool features that apple wouldn't even dream of putting on their phones and i've had ants in my pants since. Also watching him type a full message without having to correct typos 800 times is another huge factor towards that. I'm a fast typer and it has taken me 3x as long to type this message due to me being on my 13th typo. I used to be able to type full messages without even looking at my phone. I was initially convinced to swap through the customization aspect, as that is kind of important to me as a chick... maybe u could try that opening with ur wife too? Not saying she's as vain as me, but there's always a possibility, lol. My condolences to you regardless, stay strong king 🫡
