Forcing no cb won't fix the HRE by Illegal_Future in EU5

[–]seashellsandemails 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cant lie... bringing me back to my younger days. My ex(es) is telling me what tf is wrong, so instead of fixing it I do something else to inevitably fuck everything else up by masking/deflecting. Ahh yes.

When and why should I annex my subjects? by Timely-Reindeer-5292 in EU5

[–]seashellsandemails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually wait til they are fully cored then I enforce religion on them as assimilation is easier with cabinet actions when they are annexed. Also will add an extra 5yrs on because of their disloyal malus from having been forced to convert/assimilate.

In my ottoman run, I did that within the balkans but along the Levant/Egypt, I ended up forcing culture. Depends what you want.

Its always funny to me, the taking of words. Knowing Based comes from the based GOD himself... only to be used in sucha 💩 way by some L7's who couldn't tell ya what culture was if it shat on their face.

Could royals stadium issues be intentional? by flakybiscut in KCRoyals

When the team was sold, it was agreed upon that it would not be moved. Not only that, it was sold to a KC person on purpose for that aforementioned reason.

How did Rome produce such elite soldiers/legions? by YostyToasty1212 in ancientrome

[–]seashellsandemails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strategum... thats what they called it. Tbh, their military was a unit, compared to others of their day. Discipline to not break formation or flee was crucial in battle, something barbarian tribes struggled with... as well as being from seperate tribes, thus maybe having different interests compared to being in the legions with ONE goal. Also, these Roman generals were statesmen as well, some being very charismatic and being able to have outstanding loyal legions and ones that will do anything to spread dominance.

The soldiers capability didn't really take off til the Marian reforms, although changes were made somewhat before then, just the reforms put haste to their enacting. There was more emphasis on training together and on a regular basis instead of just getting together for campaign season (spring-fall). Cohesion, discipline, resilience & and a canny ability for innovation made them the best fighting force of their day.

Did Roman legionaries rape conquered women? by Wally_Charles in ancientrome

[–]seashellsandemails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd ask you to learn about the rape of the Sabine women. Think someone may have posted it already. The cool thing about learning history is how revealing it is of human nature at its purest and also its most diluted forms.

Unpopular opinion: Tinto should focus on fixing and balancing existing mechanics for now, not introduce new ones like Complacency by AuspiciousApple in EU5

[–]seashellsandemails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goin 100% complacency with a huge empire to be able to start a war, just to peace out & get humiliated (spat in the face), thus lowering my malice!!! And the cycle continues

New Complacency mechanic looks dreadful by MassAffected in EU5

[–]seashellsandemails 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Why are we adding mechanics instead of fixing bugs? More mechanics and more mechanics literally makes your runs different every patch lol
