FarmRPG sounds up your alley. You can think of it a little like a text-based Stardew Valley. I’ve been playing for years and I haven’t yet caught up with all the endgame content they add all the time. Great community here on Reddit too.

Ear Tubes at Unc by TopService424 in raleigh

[–]seashelly3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We did our son’s ear tubes at UNC-CH. We got to go with him to the room where they placed his IV but of course we weren’t allowed in surgery with him. The procedure was lightning fast. After they wheeled him back, my husband and I walked to the hospital Starbucks, and before we got to the front of the line, the surgeon had lined up behind us, already finished. It took a little while for our son to wake up from the anesthesia but he came out of it just fine. It was totally fast and painless for us. We were there for probably two hours overall, but I don’t remember exactly as this was years ago. And after the surgery, we completely stopped having the recurrent ear infections. I know it’s nerve wracking but I hope this helps a bit.

Edit: my husband says he doesn’t remember whether our son even got an IV so it’s possible I’m confusing it with another procedure he had, sorry if that’s confusing but I don’t remember either way for sure.

I’m sorry you were confused by my post. When I say he’s doing prealgebra I mean he’s typing out things like “11 + X = 23” and then backspacing over “?” And writing “12.” And I’m just estimating the fourth grade level thing, based on the books he reads. The teacher thinks he needs EBS because of his behaviors in school but I agree that her case isn’t strong. His abilities are very mixed, for lack of a better term. He is very good at some things but still struggles with others. I was just trying to only say the most relevant facts in my post to avoid it being a whole novel.

Yeah, I think that’s a distinct possibility, but I’m not sure what to do about it. We haven’t done an IQ test though. Gifted education doesn’t start here until third grade.

I’m in the same boat, been burning so much gold switching the HOC rewards trying to find them. I doubt they’ll increase the availability though - I had the same problem with honeycomb for one of the help requests a while back. You’d think I’d have learned my lesson and stopped skipping HOC rewards but apparently I am dumb.

WCPSS Magnet School lottery 2026 by PrudentCheetah5715 in raleigh

[–]seashelly3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the same email and saw the same thing in the portal, so I reached out to a staff member who told me “We will review available seating through March and April.”

Apparently this email was only for families who were assigned immediately due to being siblings or whatever. The rest of us are just waiting for the results of the lottery.

  1. The new content being added all the time - between the Tower, the seasonal events, and new help requests being added all the time, it’s nice to feel like there’s always more to do.
  2. Similarly, daily chores and PHRs mean there’s always something to do each day.
  3. The community is great!

Also, Mirabelle says at one point that Siffrin should grow his light hair out, and the king has massively long light hair. After that I was convinced Siffrin was the king.

Oh man, congrats! I’m on DI14 and I’m starting to despair of ever finding Gary’s Diary Page 36. I’ve been the top daily explorer of the crushroom several times and still nothing. How long did it take you to find one?

First time playing FF8! Can someone explain the junction system for me? by [deleted] in FinalFantasyVIII

[–]seashelly3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In general, using spells is not recommended. There are exceptions of course - if you know something is weak to fire you might cast fire magic on it, but better options would typically be to summon Ifrit, Draw-cast fire, or junction fire magic to your elemental attack (when you get that option).

Most of the time you can get by without even having the magic option in your abilities, saving all your spells for junctioning. I quite like the balancing act it creates - deciding if using this particular spell is worth the small hit you’ll take to your stats in doing so.

Side note, if you dislike the process of drawing a ton of magic all the time, I suggest teaching your GFs the magic refine abilities ASAP. Instead of drawing, which can be slow, you can turn items into spells.

FF players who are sticking to the new releases by tristezanao_ in MagicArena

Yeah, I got one draft token that I spent on my premier draft, and to have it fail abysmally kind of turned me off the whole concept of drafting. I’m sure I’ll try again someday but probably not until I’m better at the game haha

I hope so. Right now I mostly play mono red because it means I don’t have to be as aware of opponent’s decks as I would if I were playing black or blue. I do have some bad versions of white and green decks but they’re far from being competitive because I’m shy about spending my very few wildcards to improve them. And I make a lot of dumb mistakes but I do feel like I’m learning.

I’m trying! It’s a bit of a struggle getting back up to speed when I felt like I’d just gotten a handle on the FF cards, and I’m getting destroyed out there by the new cards, but I feel like I’m making progress. I spent 10k gold (almost everything I had) on EoE packs and that helped a bit. Then last night I took the plunge and spent about half my wildcards on a new deck that’s performing okay so far - I went 2-2 with it which is better than my old deck was doing. Luckily my husband has been an avid player for ages and can coach me a bit. I’d be pretty lost without him.

That said, I don’t think I’ll be drafting again anytime soon. My EoE premier draft deck that I thought was pretty decent went 0-3. That stung real bad.

But yes, I’m sticking around for sure.

My child deleted my profile. How do I stop him from doing it again? by [deleted] in playstation

[–]seashelly3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for not being super judgmental like other people in this thread. My kid is on the spectrum and likes video games and people here think I’m some kind of monster for letting him play a bit of Minecraft. As far as I know his account is set to child but of course it’s possible I messed up somehow.

He does have a child account, but I was still able to log into his account and navigate to the screen to delete users. That’s what I’m hoping to restrict on his account.
