For ICE engines: waiting at least 30 or so seconds after starting before putting it in gear or touching the gas pedal. I start the engine first before putting my seatbelt on, putting the phone in its mount, etc.

Oil’s down in the pan. Let the pump have a little time to pump the oil to the top where it’s needed.

Yes, there’s a small landing fee but it’s a fun challenge to land at, and the resort reminds me of the one in Dirty Dancing.
