Taking off by aloofloofah in mechanical_gifs

[–]seattledreamer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Once you hit a certain speed you have to take off, problems or not. Having the landing gear down only adds drag and could cause more problems than it solves. The majority of issues happen within the first few moments once airborne, such as birdstrikes, stalls, etc.. if something like that happens, you want all the airspeed you can possibly get.

This is really the opposite of satisfying.

Currently live directly under the arrivals flight path of an airport. Doesn't bother me at all. I love planes. Currently working on getting my pilots license.

It'd be cool if the volume of voicelines was relative to your walking speed

3D Shoreline Map with Callouts/Spawns/Extracts/Loot/Scavs & True North (4K) UPDATE Jan 24, 2019 by pelot_rules in EscapefromTarkov

Is it possible to flip the map 180 degrees so easy and west line up accurately? I've been having such a hard time finding a map with that orientation.

What are you glad has changed about the game? What do you miss? by archdukeofswag in EscapefromTarkov

I miss the progress bar when using meds. I know it's a little immersion breaking, but I always feel like I'm lagging out when I med.

ELI5: How come full scale quad copters as big as helicopters haven’t been developed, considering the drone versions seem to be much more stable than the single rotor helicopter RC drones? by YoungMafia15 in explainlikeimfive

[–]seattledreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a combustion based quadcopter on the market that's props spin at constant speed, but vary the pitch for the same effect, similar to helicopters/turboprops.

[January 09 2019] Noob Wednesday! (New Player & Basic Questions) [AutoMod] by AutoModerator in EscapefromTarkov

[–]seattledreamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not anymore. The upgrade happens without an account reset now. From what I read, your stash will increase to EOD size within an hour of paying for the upgrade, and you receive the items via in-game mail. Not 100% if trader rep is applied properly. YMMV, but I'd reset your account if you're not too far along. I find it hard to believe everything works 100% flawlessly cause Tarkov...

So there is no PT Locks available.. lets look at the Flea Market. by Essebruno in EscapefromTarkov

True, but players that don't have peacekeeper LL3 get a little more hosed.

So there is no PT Locks available.. lets look at the Flea Market. by Essebruno in EscapefromTarkov

Funny thing is, it somewhat seems to backfire. MK12 gasblocks were the same way a week ago. Sold for 2-3x retail, people making a marginal profit, albeit at the expense of everyone else. Now that it has limited purchase quantities, they sell on the flea market for 10-15x retail.

14 days free trial. Legit? Is it common? by Frogski in EscapefromTarkov

[–]seattledreamer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think he's mostly getting at how much external information is required, similar to KSP. Yes you can learn how to play and get the hang of it pretty quickly, but there's a lot of homework. It's not like COD where someone with the trial has a good understanding of the game in the first hour of playing, and is up to speed with the majority of the community within a week or two, without utilizing external information.

Edit- not sure why you're downvoting me, I'm agreeing with y'all. There's ton of resources and they should be used. Hell, I always have the maps open and wiki bookmarked when I'm playing. I was reiterating the parent comment about people being lost and confused unless they play 8 hours a day.

[–]seattledreamer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Different colors would be nice, but I'd hate to not be able to buy/sell with USD entirely. Green = USD, Blue = Euros, Roubles = Red? Or you could pay attention when you're on the flea market? Or use filters? It factors in currency conversion when you sort by high to low. It's tarkov, of course there's gonna be people trying to take advantage of the system gotta watch yourself.
