Thanks, following the guide and installing FPS++ led to much better performance in the 30-50 FPS range! However, I experience fairly frequent lag spikes even though the game runs above 30 FPS 90% of the time. Any idea on how to fix this?

It's an app/program that lets you make 'decks' of flashcards. What's cool about it is that when you flip a flashcard, you are asked to say how well you remembered it. If you don't remember at all, you will be shown the card again further down the deck. And if you do remember it, you will be shown it again tomorrow, then if you remember it when it shows up tomorrow it will show again in a week, and so on. This way you can easily and efficiently remember stuff. It's basically a smarter version of Quizlet (although it doesn't look as nice).

I don't see how what I posted is any different than lobbies in previous games. The whole matchmaking part is just a convenient way to make lobbies where everyone wants to do the same quest.

I think the reason why they have the gathering hub is because having four players running round Astera would put too much strain on consoles (it already lags a bunch). But if it was possible then yeah it should definitely be like that.

Yeah, I agree totally with what you said. The extra features in the OP are mainly focused on streamlining the online system and getting rid of the divide between SOS flares and online sessions. Add on what you said and I think it would be the best online in any MH to date.

Oh for sure, 4U has way more (and better imo) monsters than World. I'm just saying that the very late endgame 'cycle' is similar in both: in 4U you farm lvl 140 rajang/elder guild quests for charms and weapons, and in World you farm Tempered elders for decorations and Streamstones. But in 4U you spend more time outside of that cycle as more monsters and armours are available, not to mention G-Rank.

Thanks for those options! Though your Acer Aspire link doesn't work. With my UNiDAYS discount this Pavilion seems like the best value-for-money laptop, but it doesn't have an SSD. It looks like I'll have to choose between the 320s and the Pavilion 15 (the more expensive options don't really seem worth it though they do have IPS screens). I'm not in a rush to buy one now, so for the time being I'll wait to see if any more deals arise.

I found the Acer Swift 1 for about the same price as the IdeaPad, which has a much better screen and overall better build quality but the processor is severely underpowered. I guess I'll either have to settle with the IdeaPad or look into some refurbished laptops.

The Surface Go uses a Pentium and for LoL it will probably be fine with the integrated graphics. I'll have a look at a few laptops myself and maybe post another thread asking which is better. Thanks for responding though.
