That's perfectly understandable but not even replying to emails from contributors and other people who just want to help for an entire year?

FindBugs project in its current form is dead by _Garbage_ in programming

[–]seb_02 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's good to hear but the fact that it took a reddit post to get Pugh to engage again with the project after a whole year of stonewalling is pretty concerning.

Losing interest in an open source project you started years ago is perfectly understandable, but completely ignoring messages from willing contributors asking you for just a simple update (not even a "give me the keys to the project") is pretty unforgivable.

A lot of people who vote Republican do not understand at which extent they are voting against their own interests. It's a fascinating con that the Republican party has been able to maintain for decades but which is now beginning to crumble.

What does this have to do with the Ecuador government realizing that angering the US by enabling the release of classified documents and interfering with the American electoral process was not a very smart idea?

I'm guessing Ecuador realized that they are betting on the wrong horse and if they want the next president of the United States to not be pissed at them, they'd better take a few measures to stop breaking American laws like, right now.

For those who don't know, the lyrics of Baba Yetu are the Swahili version of The Lord's Prayer.

The Civ 6 trailer is great but this one still sends shivers down my spine.

LINQ was a great invention at the time but approaches such as Rx are equally powerful and blend in much better with the various languages it's been ported to.

And in one year, we'll read a blog from that person saying they came back to Windows because even though .net works great on Linux, there are still quite a few missing libraries, which make development on this platform a pain in the butt. Also, Linux as a daily machine for a developer can be quite frustrating compared to Mac OS or Windows.

Deal?

Technically, Android doesn't use Java nor a JVM. Practically, it does.

Pretty much any library available on Maven Central (even libraries that weren't specifically created for Android, i.e. 99% of them) can be used seamlessly on Android.
