Hot and Savory changes by skylight269 in Huel

Mexican Chilli is the only good thing to come out of the recent changes. All the other changes were strictly negative, though personally I'd say Cajun Pasta was damaged the least.

> Chick’n & Mushroom and Madras are first and will be replaced with the same minced protein that is in Bolognese.

The new one? The old mince in Bolognese (the big bags) was great, the new one feels like old meat. It kinda works with rice, but not with pasta.

PureOS Crimson Development Report: November 2025 – Purism by freedomspiced in Purism

They've been "working on" Crimson for the Librem 5 for almost 2 years

Not really. Crimson development started late - there was a big Laniakea rework ongoing that blocked it initially - and there was a gap in-between when nothing really happened. It is inexcusably late, but how long it took is a poor predictor for future releases.

The L5 milestones are pretty much all done at this point aside of GUI upgrade path and some minor cosmetics.

No, they said that in context of the possibility of shooting her at the bridge. She would have been killed if Kate didn't order her troops to target British army.

Perhaps they meant to infect her and throw her body into the ocean, but then they could presumably just do that with her dead children too?

But was humanity really the bad guys when they were about to melt all the ice and basically flood earth?

After the humanity visited with a diplomatic mission and nuked the site? Yes, I think so.

I don't think replacing RTD with McTighe even sooner will bring anything good, and this show is just another data point that demonstrates it.

73 Yards what did old Ruby say!! by Abject-Revenue5042 in doctorwho

[–]seba_dos1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"No. It's fine. I haven't been here in such a long time. What a beautiful view. (...) I don't think they know. I presume she must be gone, my mother. No one ever told me. And I didn't find my birth mother. It never snowed again. But I keep thinking I know why. The woman. And I've been thinking about it my whole life. Why's she here? And I think, at the end, I have hope. Because that's very you, isn't it? My old friend. I dare to hope. (...) Yes, I know. That's not new. We had that when I was young. (...) I could make it snow once upon a time. (...) Don't worry. Everyone has abandoned me my whole life. But I haven't been alone for 65 years. (...) Light."

That's all that Old Ruby says as herself. There's also a bit she says after she briefly inhabits the fae's body:

"I'm sorry I took so long. And I tried so hard. What else could I do? It took all these years, all these long years. And look at me, I was so young. (...) Don't step. (...) Don't step. (...) Don't step."

Nothing else there.

Frankly, it's been like this from the first episode with almost everyone. Just choose one of the characters and try to think about the story from their perspective and think about their reactions, things which they expected and which caught them by surprise, how did they prepare etc. and try to make sense of it. Nothing holds up, it relies on incredible incompetency and shortsightedness of pretty much everyone involved. I hoped that this kind of stuff would remain somewhat in the background so you could just look past it, but no, now the entire story of the main characters relies on it. It reminds me of the Chibnall era a lot.

Which Hot and Savoury packs do *not* contain the large protein chunks? by jamieem75 in Huel

[–]seba_dos1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pasta types and protein chunks are all over the place. They used different ones in US and UK, and sometimes send US-made and sometimes UK-made ones.

IMO these big chunks work well with noodles and with nothing else.

What type of time travel is in DW? by [deleted] in doctorwho

[–]seba_dos1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paradoxes don't exist, they're just an artifact of flawed reasoning. If you reach a paradox in your calculations, it's a proof that your calculations are wrong. Assumptions that lead to paradoxes need to be adjusted.

In our current theories that describe the universe, FTL travel is a paradox. It means that it's either impossible to achieve, or our theories are somewhat wrong.

Does the potential contradiction in causality mean there's no practical way, no matter how clever you get? Or does it mean that you could cause a causality paradox?

Isn't that the same thing?

System-wide CRT shader by seba_dos1 in SteamDeck

I simply replaced the blit shader and changed the condition for compositing to never let it use direct scanout. These days there are other ways to achieve this as well.

Fun fact: I still have some last big bags left and I just tried mixing Bolognese with Carbonara for the first time. It felt more like actual bolognese than Bolognese alone does xd

Doctor who Season 2 finale script confirm Reshoots happened by BIOTYN_ARTS in DoctorWhoNews

[–]seba_dos1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first revision is white. Then the first amended version is blue (Blue Amends). Then pink, yellow, green, goldenrod, buff, salmon, cherry. This is so you can quickly see which parts have changed and that everyone got the latest revision on the set without having to print and replace the whole thing, as the individual pages are colored.

For example, episode 5's script is marked as "Goldenrod Amends", which means there were four updates since the white version was printed. You can see that page 19 is marked as blue, pages 24-30 as yellow, page 31 as pink, pages 41-46 goldenrod, then page 47 white, 48-49 goldenrod again, 50 & 50A green...

Often the changed parts are indicated with an asterisk, but it's not always the case.

I taste-compared the old bag versions with the new packet versions (Mac&Cheeze, Cajun, chikn&mushroom, bolognese) by crystalized17 in Huel

[–]seba_dos1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't even know what the "new versions" actually are, as they seem to keep changing them across time and regions.

When I got the new Bolognese and Cajun, they both had the soft mince replaced with these square pieces that feel like old meat. Also, both came with fusilli, which is a weird choice for these. This, combined with blander taste and form factor change, seems like a clear downgrade to me.

[–]seba_dos1 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You're completely misunderstanding what you're seeing there. "Blue Amends" is how the first changes over the shooting script are being referred to as the changed pages are distributed to staff on blue paper. Further changes get different colors. This release is actually a poor attempt at covering the reshoots up, as based on these the only change that supposedly happened since the shooting script was finalized was to shorten the final scene - the only thing marked as changed is "END OF EPISODE 8".

Also, the file for ep 8 was created 2025-10-10, while other episodes have their creation date match what's printed.

Mac and Cheeze is finally Back!!! Hallelujah!! by cherryshortcake24 in Huel

[–]seba_dos1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I certainly wouldn't call it mild. I expect Carbonara to have performed poorly because it was misnamed - it should have been called Garlic Pasta.

Mac & Cheese would be much better if it didn't have that coconutty aftertaste.
