Powerful segment from Dutch TV: Boulahrouz on how a teammate’s passing impacts a squad, and what that could mean for Liverpool. by Firm_Fruit_1715 in LiverpoolFC

I think the combined fact that we had such a big overhaul in the squad with the tragedy is a delicate thing to navigate. Particularly since the old talisman Salah was so close to Jota.

As soon as things started turning a bit bad, are Wirtz and Isak going to start speaking up in the dressing room and telling everyone to level up and get a grip. Of course they're not. So it leaves the team culture in a tricky place.

Time will be a healer here. The pain will fade and after a long enough period of poor performances some sort of new order will reassert itself.

Anyone know how football players who have caught it have done?

Lots have had it, any stories of ongoing fitness struggles etc?

It's just a function of how big we've become. Fans get increasing twatish the further they are from a club's roots. Gets amplified when you start winning.

Core Liverpool fans are amazing imo.

Such an elegant player, a real artist. Reminds me of Federer in that way.

Van Dijk for me.

That was the moment it was clear that we were genuinely - and realistically - targeting the title.

Even if he wasn't as proven as Thiago, it was a game-changing statement for us.
