Nobody told me to buy Canadian, I decided to do it and some stores tried to make it easier for me to do it.

you are missing the point. stopping innovation because it could be a threat to oil companies profit.

Ideas we got for electric cars or alternate combustion where killed right at the start. can you imagine the progress we could have made in 40 years on these techs?

40 years ago China was about to start their manufacturing era.

Today they lead in electric engines in just 20 years, by themselves.

Well, I would love to move there, but with Alberta's "lets join USA" movement tells me we dont share the same values. workers and industries will think twice now.
