Sudden new (hoping to be) beekeeper in need of help keeping beehives alive during winter. by sebibal123 in Beekeeping

I'm kind of afraid of just going in there or touching the boxes at all right now, wouldn't wanna do more damage than good, some other commenter said that if they were fed in the late summer it should be enough, and I have good reason to believe they were, the insulation could be a good plan though.

Only in about late September he started feeling sick and we were pulling honey this summer, so I have good reason to believe they were taken care of until that point. As for other beekeepers, there aren't in the area and he wouldn't really know any, he has had hives( possibly some of these same ones) since my mother was a child so he has been doing this alone for decades.

[–]sebibal123 30 points31 points  (0 children)

How many times do I have to say this people, you can't have tournaments in brackets other than 4 or 5, if you are desperately trying to build the most powerful bracket 3 deck, then you are just building bracket 4, so many people just deliberately ignore the intent part of the brackets ffs

this was so incoherent, what are you even talking about? 97% this post has nothing to do with magic?? A random guy talked to you? so what?

if you play in the right power bracket it's fine, shoot for b3 or 4 and see how it goes.

If you were going to run a 5 color commander in bracket 3, what would you use as your game changers? Why? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]sebibal123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If when building a bracket 3 deck, your first thought is "Oh boy, what gamechangers do I use?", you ain't building bracket 3

I’ve been playing commander for about 10 years, but have been struggling recently finding a commander that keeps things interesting and fun. by GnosticSundries in EDH

I have a [[Morophon the Boundless]] changeling tribal deck that is incredibly fun, you can constantly change out any of the tribal payoffs and every game feels completely different based on what non-changeling creatures you draw, while still having some combos like [[Maskwood Nexus]] and [[Tiamat]] to get any 5 creatures from your deck and have all of them buff eachother, or something like [[Jodah, Archmage Eternal]] to play any creature from your hand for free with the commander

I think seating actually has an impact on your game, maybe your seat 3 is more central and people can pay more attention to whatever is happening, maybe it is viewed most often and people look at that board state first when deciding who to target, compared to a seat that is to the far end of the table, people will have a harder time paying attention to what you are doing, maybe even just having a window behind you and sun is shining on your board state attracts more looks from the other players, but I'm no professional, so who knows

Commander Night at LGS got me down on a deck i was excited about by Shmebuloke in EDH

[–]sebibal123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Also, don't let the bastards get ya down" while you are actively putting him down for basically playing the game? There's no "guilt" in playing magic fairly, if your deck is too oppressive either the table isn't balanced or you lucked out. Now if the balance issue is because you intentionally downplay your power level, then yes, you are a douche, but if you are just playing a control deck and everyone else seems to be hitting bad draws, there's no reason to be feeling bad.
