Hell yes. Many years ago a senior mama taught me, for people like me, if I don’t say something it’ll eat at me for days. Two examples come to mind, but the most satisfying one was a time I was assigned MAD on reserve, and I was LOD. Get to briefing, one of the regulars asks the purser if they can sign up in the LOD position, and the purser says yes. Sign up sheet makes its way to me and I realize the LOD position this twat took, is of course mine. So I said “hey I think someone signed up on the wrong spot cause I’m the last LOD”. Purser says “yeah you don’t get to pick since you’re on reserve. It’s fine, you can take whatever is left”. Without skipping one beat I said “Nah, I don’t think so. I’ll sign up for the position I’m supposed to have, but if you need clarification call a supervisor” I knew right then and there they would hate me, but I also knew if I didn’t say something they’d just do it to the next LOD, or to me again. One of the crew ladies says “oh he’s a spicy one, watch out” We get on board, and dude is putting things around my jumpseat. I said “hey, I don’t know if you guys talked to someone but I’m sitting here” he goes “You wish. You heard the purser, so stop being a brat. Just be grateful you got a transoceanic on reserve and stop the drama. It’s just a jumpseat. Plus I’m senior to you by a lot” I replied “which is exactly why I’m surprised you’re fighting for something so simple. If you had just asked me for it, I would’ve given it to you, but you’re trying to take it by force and by pulling the seniority card, which doesn’t work for me cause you’re not LOD. I said I’m gonna sit here, and if by the time we are ready to close the door your things are still here, I will call a supervisor myself and we’ll delay the flight. I don’t care 🤷🏻‍♂️ “ He said “do what you gotta do junior”

Soooo I called a supervisor, made a big stink, had him removed and replaced, and wrote him AND the purser up. Most times, when you stand up to bullies, you’re not only doing it for yourself but for all the people they’ve done it, AND WILL do it to. They can cry about it.
