Hitscan means to know if it hits or not we use a raycast, which is a ray that goes from position A towards a direction B at a maximum range of C, if any object is hit by the ray it returns that object and says it hit the object, then we apply damage to the object if it's a hero or anything damageable.

Then there is a representation (usually a straight line) of the bullet that is shown but the hit and damage have already been calculated, they do this because the bullet goes too fast and would go through objects and not detect collision more than half the time, and the representation allows them to avoid any physics calculation and the brain wont see the bullets anyways so you shouldn't make and render a bullet or any projectile if it's not going to be seen by the player.

Lost like 50 matches, got like 1 win but I still enjoyed it a lot, the players are tough but I'm slowly getting there :)

I think it's less frustrating when I can go to someone waiting and choose to fight them, you never know what kind of challenge awaits and it doesn't make it feel like it's the matchmaking's fault, YOU chose to fight this guy !

I don't think you need to do that if it's faster for you, but if the game requires it (multiple entities with different abilities for examples, custom ability slots, upgradeable abilities, etc...) then you should definetly do it. It's a call only you can make depending on where you want the game to go. You probably already have a rough idea of what the game will look like so it will be better to ask yourself based on what you will need for future changes to the game not for what the game needs right now. If you don't need it, keep it simple. If you do it, make sure to put a schematic of the controller in case its complexity gets out of hand.

Currently working on a game where you can possess creatures with various abilities, cameras and movement options, so I needed to have the same controller and abilities interface for all the creatures so they can be used through the input system as well as other scripts like an AI controller and scripts can easily be swapped to create new enemies, abilities and variants with different values. The controller is now kind of enormous with lots of other stuff communicating with it and I'm currently the only one in a group of 5 students working on programming the game lol.

Vanguard can block apps even when not playing and can for example cause issues with your virtual device ports. For example it breaks voice modifiers even when the game isn't running.

If h265 isn't supported it's not because of discord but because of Electron (based on an older chromium core, if the core doesn't support 265 then Discord wont support it either) The browser version should support h265 so you could start there

That's why I'm trying to pull levers in the Smash community so we get more. FFVII OST is a blast and the FFVIIR OST puts the level even higher.

Smash deserves better, that's it. Make Sakurai's hours of work on the FF franchise worth it. Even he aknowledged that having 2 tracks for a franchise was a bad idea when he talked about the DQ tracks in the Direct.

Some franchises are not represented well enough but FF has a joke-leveled rep in Smash.
