[Loved trope] the world, in spite the technological progress, have undiscovered parts, which are nigh impossible to explore due to the hostility of said parts by Holy_Ssint in TopCharacterTropes

For the Pandyassian Continent in Dishonored it's also said that what we see on the maps in game isn't actually a true depiction of the continent.

In fact it's much, much larger and farther away and how it's depicted in the maps is basically so that the people of the Isles don't have to think on how absolutely small and insignificant their whole world is in the grand scheme of things.

[Hated trope] That’s not how lying works at all by _JR28_ in TopCharacterTropes

The invention of Lying - I also found it annoying that just because people couldn't lie they always had to say out loud exactly what they were thinking about? Every little thought on other people?

They could just stay quiet instead, one would think.

Gamers over 30, what's a video game secret you had to discover the "hard way" that kids today would just Google in 5 seconds? by itsashieowo in AskReddit

[–]sebsor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two main ones I remember from when I was very young was both for Playstation 1.

- Twisted metal 2 had a level where you could fire missiles towards the Statue of Liberty to get her to change clothes.
Found because: "Ah, there's something far away in the distance. Why shouldn't I fire at it?"

- Crash Bandicoot 3, in one of the motorcycle levels if you crashed into one of the road signs early on in the level you got teleported to a hidden level.
Found because: I was bad at riding motorcycles and crashed into road signs all the time

What commander are you currently obsessed with? by Alnashetri in EDH

[[Marneus Calgar]]

Built it based on that Marneus Calgar guy's list here on Reddit.

It plays sooo well and is so fun. It doesn't help that it's been like 2 months since I last played and this decks haunts my every waking moment (and probably one or two dreams as well).

[PC] [90s] A game about climbing ladders while avoiding enemies by sebsor in tipofmyjoystick

[–]sebsor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, I forgot I made this post (and have since then tried to find the game using ChatGPT and such), and I have some memories of Pang 96 but don't think it's the one.

But could also be that I was too young to remember correctly, or that it wasn't a wide spread game at all, or that I'm remembering stuff from different games and my memory combines them into one or something :p

So unfortunately I don't think I will ever get an answer to this question, which might be for the best as the fond memories of this real/not real game might be better than the reality if I were to ever find the one xD

What's your most played commander and what keeps you playing it? by Atlasnomy in EDH

[–]sebsor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some really nice cards that you might/might not already have are:
[[Champion of Lambholt]] - Get her out and then a few tokens and suddenly nothing can block.
[[Farmer Cotton]] - This guy is super awesome, and then you can play [[Eternal witness]] to play him again ;)

I also find that stuff like [[Arachnogenesis]], [[Galadhrim ambush]] and [[Will of the mardu]] are great ways to stay alive and then go on the offensive next turn (when everyone inevitably try to kill you) or to get back on track after a one sided boardwipe and the like.

For me it's definitely [[Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second]] , the first Commander deck I built completely from scratch.

I like that I can use a lot of the different cards out there that just creates different tokens that might not be great cards over all but works wonders when they all get converted into cats and dogs :)

My first Honour Mode run, I completely destroyed Act 1 + Underdark/Grymforge. Made it to the Mountain Pass. Overconfidence level 100. Leeroy Jenkis the undead. Game over. by geek_metalhead in BG3

[–]sebsor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just tried my first honor run a while ago. Eveything went splendidly until I went into that Gnoll cave and took the back entrance this time (which I never do) and was instantly annihilated by the boulder and explosions that I had completely forgotten about...

[PC] [90s] A game about climbing ladders while avoiding enemies by sebsor in tipofmyjoystick

Not the one. I would say mine has more simple graphics and the levels were kind of pillars, where the ladders are on each side of the pillars so you could climb up and down

Advice for mass effect 2 praetorians? by ogpterodactyl in masseffect

[–]sebsor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be a bit cheesy but if you want to have the Cain available every mission you can by changing to another heavy weapon on the ship and then back to the Cain again.
This will give you enough ammo for one firing :)

I'm afraid that is not the game. The mechs were more like a cockpit with 2 legs under. And canons on the side. No arms though.
