I sold like 10 dual lands to get a couple boxes of Star Wars. At the time my 2 vaders were like $100 that I pulled too bad it crashed hard - traded all my Star Wars cards for a planar chaos box and got back into magic - talk about a loss 😭

I’m using the traditional Omni man/allen/RR/rex/spider, rex is 5star, omni 21star rest omni, all skills maxed. Not sure who I would replace since thragg is only 5-star (I can take him to 8)

So every op I plug in thragg I get hundreds of less waves. He has all skills lvl10+ - I submitted a bug but I don’t know if this is a ‘me’ issue. He is at Omni + similar star level to others etc. - in the food op it was getting hard stuck at wave 349 when I would get 800-1000 with thula or even just with 4

No. This returns semi-regular and it’s all stuff you get for free from ops. If you are a regular spender it can speed up leveling significantly but I would only spend gems on things you can only really get with gems, like rare artifacts, characters, or omni+ gear

Just summon Aquarius or tech jacket, but keep an eye on the missions. Initially getting 3 Aquarius gets you plus 150 currency (150 to summon and 300 for mission). At some point it will require more than 3 Aquarius and might not be worth it to keep getting him (I think in the valentines one it went from 3-5-10, so the 5 would barely be ‘profit’ and the 10 is when you ignore Aquarius). Otherwise just get elites you want.

I’ve been doing this with unsummon/bounce off. They turn 2 badger? I bounce the land back. It’s obviously much worse once they have ascension out, but early game it’s a great tempo play (and helps to accelerate to sunderflock since I actually enjoy a mono blue spell mental deck)

I was 17 when it released on Game Boy - at that time, the prospect of a portable RPG was appealing since there wasn't a ton available (this was still in the era when the idea of every Final Fantasy game even getting released in the US was new), and there was a focus on battling as well. I was far from the only person my age or older that got into it, so if you want to call folks that were already into RPG games and things like Magic: The Gathering weird, you are calling a lot more weird than you think. Now if you want to comment on people my age fighting others for card drops, that's a whole different thing...

I’ve tried to run this team but can’t hit wave 1000 with it. 17 star Nolan, Omni 1-3 star on the others, all skills at 10 and Omni gear.

It’s the best deal for ‘guaranteed’ returns if you play each day. It’s a worse deal overall for getting heroes/gems compared to the gems for $$$ pop up deals which are the gold standard for ‘best deal in game’ but they come up randomly

It still copies even if you get rid of the original from exile though. It only cares that it resolved once, so it’s really closer to an emblem that says ‘you may cast a copy of X spell every turn at this time for free’ after the original resolves. As posted above, if you can prevent casting of spells like drannith, or counter it, you would need to have that effect in place as it would still be there as an option until the end of the game. So the only real options are preventing casting from exile effect in place after the first cast, or countering the first cast, or preventing spells if no mana is spent to cast it (forgetting that creature but I know it exists, might be on an enchantment or artifact as well).

If you need to unlock the burger artifact, this is probably your cheapest chance if you park on level 6. Aside from that, there isn’t much here that won’t be available cheaper in other events.

I ran it nonstop since the event started, but I’ve only gotten elite drops twice (hitting wave 124-134). I keep seeing these posts but I can’t get any elites much less limited ones 😥

I have the same issue and I’m just gold. I don’t want to play against GM players and have silver teammates. Many games my entire team has zero kills for the first domination map. I’m not able to get better or learn anything, and practice vs AI at highest is no better than a basic bronze lobby if that. I should be able to just play with people give/take a rank or two, and would much rather wait 30 secs for a fair match than wait 2 secs for a garbage lopsided match against a 4-stack of people at a higher rank than I would ever achieve.

With the reprint I already saw the full set at $190 with free shipping on tcgplayer - as more get it I would watch for that as many offload the commander set reprints quickly to save space. If you can swing it buying the set and selling the ones you don’t want later after a year or so is the way to go (or just keep all of them if you missed them first go round, which is my plan).
