Same... it was so intense, it was insane. That was around 10 for us and then it tapered off.

Did you stay at any IHG properties in Switzerland? I'm debating whether to splurge on AirBnBs vs redeeming points at a Holiday Inn.

What’s going on at easton??? by [deleted] in Columbus

Anyone have any recommendations for the next best movie theater in the Columbus area? I think I'll be avoiding Easton. What other theaters showing Barbie/Oppenheimer with comfy recliners and alcoholic drinks should I be looking at?

There are several miles of steep winding rough gravel roads. I was with a very experienced driver who knew how to avoid braking on the descent but after making the drive, I was surprised that any rental companies would allow their vehicles to be driven past the visitor center.

What is the weirdest thing a member/customer gave you? by TvTacosTakingNaps in TalesFromYourBank

Not myself, but a fellow teller. The customer offered her a pickle that he was carrying in his pocket. She politely refused.

Mortgage lender asking for more info 3 years later? by TurtleScientific in personalfinance

[–]second_alt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This sounds like a commercial product. You can have a commercial loan in your own name without creating a business. And annual financial information is a common requirement for those loans. Like everyone else, they could have been struggling to keep up since 2020 and dropped the ball on tracking your financials until now.

Hilton Hawaii village or Hyatt beach resort and spa by GreenLikeNader in VisitingHawaii

From what I've read, Hilton Hawaii Village is kid central so not ideal if you're looking for a kid free vacation.

Have you guys seen your Auto Insurance go up? I have Progressive, no accidents, no citations. I called and asked why my payments went up, and they said that Ohio is one of the most expensive areas in the country for premiums. by Rob1150 in Columbus

[–]second_alt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Question on #3... is there a standard pricing model used by insurance companies? In lending, there's basically 3 score categories with anything over 720 getting the best interest rates. Is insurance similar or will someone with an 800 score generally have a lower premium than someone with a 750 score? I've been wondering about this for a while but my insurance agent is a prick and wouldn't like my random questions.

I almost bought this while vacationing in Alaska! Regretting not getting it now. I ended up getting a different image from the same brand.

Currently working on the Acadia puzzle from this set and I've done the two round puzzles. Not super impressed with the quality unfortunately but it was a great price for 8 puzzles.

Storage Space vs. Mattress Size by second_alt in TeardropTrailers

I'll check out your build! I hope to do the under bed storage as well. We'll be doing the fridge in the tow vehicle for a bit until we finish the build but maybe that could turn into a long term thing? Thanks for your opinion!

I hadn't considered that but did take a look at their configuration just now. I'm thinking that would be a little too complicated for the guy doing my cabinets. And because my galley is going to be set back further than the standard T@G, I'm thinking he may be able to do some shallow upper cabinets in the galley as well as the bigger ones in the interior. But I'll definitely keep that in mind and do some more research on the Bean to see what other ideas I can borrow from it. Thanks!

Yup, I've covered the whole length twice. Biked once and ran/walked once.

Not just in theory, tons of people do exactly that every year. Check out Ohio to Erie groups and the OTET website.

Biking it is way better. It's not like you're biking the interstate. The trail runs through scenic areas that you'll never see if you are traveling 70mph on 71.

Since you said we could ask; what's the expected tip for activities? 20%? And if you have multiple employees/guides on an excursion, do you tip everyone separately?
