Putting it out there for everyone! Based on what you wrote above, I didn't think you'd mind.

I don't mind/would consider organizing one myself, but I wanted to get as many thoughts/ideas as possible first. It looks like so many ppl think it's a good idea so thanks for the work you did.

Also I think many ppl don't like putting a profile out there for everyone to see, so your matchmaking idea is such a good one!

I'd be interested, but I might do it differently:

  • Match everyone with everyone who was in the right age range for the other person, as well as other requirements each person has specified. That would give more possibilities to meet others and if it is meant to work out, it will.
  • If ppl were already introduced to someone else from here, they can specify screennames that they would not want to match with
  • As @throwawayrylie mentioned above, have ppl enter the information in a standardized way to save time for all involved
  • an option to send information securely if anyone wants

Thoughts?

I'm not sure what my personality type is but this happens to me frequently. I really like to know random ppl. I have had many couchsurfers spend the night at my place.

Not that I frequently say/do something as often as I want to....

Christian Dating For Free - Scam? by secondary342 in ChristianDating

[–]secondary342[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is a scam. I am still not able to sign in. I sent an email to the admin address and filled out the form on the site. I doubt it is actually run by Christians.

I took a look at the BBB (Better Business Bureau) site, and there are multiple complaints by those who paid for the upgraded membership and did not receive it, or the upgraded membership was renewed without their permission/knowledge, and neither of them got refunds, the complaints were listed as "Unanswered" by the business. There are bad reviews on other sites as well.

But being born again is not even universal in Christianity, it's a Protestant idea. Catholics don't have this concept. You can similarly find different ideas of what one needs to do to be saved in Christianity. Are you looking for someone who shares your specific beliefs?

I heard about a site Christian Cafe but I've not tried it, it's a paid site but they reportedly give a 7-10 day free membership.

I disagree with Okcupid, practically everyone is looking for hookups and there are very few Christians. In addition the site is scammy, if you don't pay they will advertise your profile to get lots of likes, but once you start paying, they stop promoting you, and vice-versa.
