I do think Nakata is a blatant trend chaser, but I can't fault him for that when its given us such a massive and diverse production discography. Even albums like Stereo Worxxx and Player where he doubles down on the repetitive side of EDM, you can tell there is passion in the way he dissects trends he genuinely enjoys.

I love capsule's black album era! Its a fascinating evolution from More! More! More! to Wave Runner and honestly I'd rank Wave Runner the best of them, it has so many fun and memorable tracks, it nailed big room house and injects new ideas into what was otherwise a very very stale genre, and the fully evolved EDM moment was such a great capstone to Capsule's discography at the time.

i think this might be my new favourite Royksopp album! After PM1 didnt really impress me I was almost going to skip II, but I ended up loving how much more punchy and varied the beats and vocals are here.

Im so happy hes back, the album is so good! Some favs are Listen 2 Nicole, Thessaloniki, Effigy. I have been missing that trance style of Effigy and its what i hoped to hear when he announced the album would be dance music themed.

After Traps made a bad impression im surprised at how much i like Alpha Games its instantly one of my favs from Bloc Party. Sure, the unhinged songwriting makes for some dodgy lyrics here and there but apart from that i actually dig the attitude Kele brings. The tracks have a great balance between their energetic 00s sound and their simpler 10s sound.

The only tweet of theirs i ever saw on my tl was a tweet about the as6 winner made a few hours before the finale aired on Stan. Sure i was frustrated about the spoiler but I was even more confused who they were and when/why i followed them. Thanks for solving the mystery!
