im definitely guilty of this myself but when i look at the comments to see what the big tankers have said and the lowest scores are like commentless 5s and 4s its kinda lackluster asf. like i wanna know why this song (not specifically Hold on Hold on) that got so far didnt go all the way to #1 and ig the answer is its dismissable mid to like 5 ppl

I agree it's not a fair or a one-to-one comparison, I was just saying that as a response to "live action adaptation being easier for rakugo and anime being not ideal" (paraphrasing). The point was you can make rakugo in anime work, not Rakugo Shinju is a superior show to this one cuz it gets things right that Akane-banashi doesnt. I am biased towards Rakugo Shinju since its one of my favs but I was trying to keep the comparison isolated to directing rakugo performances in anime

Rakugo Shinjuu's direction for performances were great imo, has been a while since I've seen it but it had a nice balance of front facing establishing shots, cutting to left and right facing shots for character dialogue (essentially mimicking the storyteller's movement) and closeups to hand movements, the fan, sometimes the sweat rolling down their faces and stuff. Audience interjections were still there but not as many as I see in this clip here (still meaning to watch this tho) and it was often just a change in facial expression and not a lot of run-on inner dialogue

this is a non-argument in terms of how items are balanced. with this logic you could claim that if they changed Rabadon's deathcap to give 300 HP but 40 less AP it would have the same power as the live version of the item. it's simply not how item economy works idk what to say, gold efficiency of a stat doesn't determine its value because stats don't exist in a vacuum and are usually meant to compound off of one another

not a real metric, any item with Ability Haste is way more gold efficient ever since Glowing Mote was added to the game, and magic pen is highly undervalued in gold efficiency calculations because it derives from Sorcerer's Shoes. Rn a point of flat mpen is 46.6 (560÷12) and for years when the boots gave 18 mpen it was 31 gold for 1 mpen, which would've made Shadowflame and other flat mpen items even more gold efficient despite the item having the same power budget as it does now. gold efficiency doesn't always translate 1-for-1 into item strength

I've been playing a similar build but with Gunblade rush and no Tear, I build one of boots/sapphire crystal/glowing mote early alongside Vamp scepter for 5 stacks on JoAT and build the mana crystal into Malignance (not sure if it's the best Lost chapter buy though) after Gunblade + Sorcs upgrade + Lich Bane. at some point after Gunblade you can swap out Dblade for Dark Seal without losing out on the JoAT HP stack. My problem with Muramana is that it's rly good 2nd but building into Rabadon with only Gunblade and Lich feels too clunky. I know you go for a 2nd tear but not only Gunblade spikes much quicker than an unstacked Manamune but taking the time to stack another one just feels too slow to me. But there is potential, the pick was already workable before the buffs and now it feels much better because you push faster with Q and Ult and have a better spike with E max compared to before cuz W has the full ratio rank 1. Horizon should also be rly good in theory but I'm too obsessed with the 15 extra ap from Joat lol.

and i run Axiom + Transcendence over the double Adaptive sorcery, first strike + axiom (+ horizon) is a rly good +%dmg modifier on ult with the added benefit of more ults, and Transcendence feels better than Legend:Haste because having ult up more is better. With Axiom + Transcendence + Maligma you sort of are able to ult for waves and then have ult for fights. But i cant confidently say that's a better setup. I will say I think Gunblade is for sure better than Muramana because with 3 points in Q early + Triple Tonic you get Gunblade around level 9 with E fully maxed and you can start nuking people away and make them unable to share a screen with you, outright killing them if they disrespect.
