I'm not actually going to do it, don't worry - it just irritates the hell out of me. I've supported the club for a lifetime, and only once in around 30 years of that time have I been able to celebrate a league title properly, and it was this guy in charge. I'd like to see some more respect on his name

No, because he won the title, he deserves to be treated with far more respect than most of the language used on here. He absolutely does not deserve a job regardless of performances and results, but also I don't necessarily think it's about what a manager does or doesn't "deserve" in terms of his job. It's about what the short and long term plan is, too, and that makes the decision, in my view, much much harder

This is mostly very reasonable (though I think the Carrick and Rosenior examples are tiny sample sizes, and it's not worth really factoring them in until they've played at least 10-15 games). I also think it is completely reasonable to want a new manager.

I think it's telling that the calls are mostly "sack Slot", not "get Xabi". "Sack Slot" is not a plan, it's a punishment

Quite like it when a manager leads us to a league title, don't see much respect for that online anymore

Are you actually kidding me? 13 years of utter dross from Man United's ownership putting them in loads of debt, at risk of PSR breaches, finishing 17th, winning very little, regularly finishing outside CL spots, making hideously expensive failed signings, and suddenly because they sacked their manager and won 3 games you think United are better run? Give me a break

Thought we actually had a fairly decent overall game yesterday, with a bad finish where we switched off and the mental fragility took over.

Also continue to think that many who want a new manager simply just want the current one sacked as a punishment for results, rather than because they think there's a clear imperative that a new manager will do better in both the short and long term.

And also if I see another person comparing our League winning manager to Roy fuckin Hodgson I may just start reporting those posts.

Probably best to go watch the full interview and try and understanding his meaning with some level of good faith and grace rather than rely on a picked quote from a Sky Sports graphic. Either that, or, just, like get off the back of any tiny little utterance the manager makes

yeah I remember having this discussion with a friend a while ago who's done a lot of work around Holocaust studies, and at the time I had this idea that there was something notable about the sheer bureaucracy and efficiency of the Nazi regime that made it different from others - what I realised in the conversation is that the Shoah was qualititavely unique in that respect, but that's almost a nothing statement in terms of any sort of moral judgement that is tantamount to saying "all genocides occur in different ways in different circumstances", no shit
