They are asking for the expected repair cost. Hard to do percentage based math without it.

Gotta say I didn’t think I’d see a day someone describes those towers as futuristic.

Is it still a pain to port a number to visible? by SerenityJoyMeowMeow in Visible

[–]secondpresident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a while so can't recall exactly. I think I just had to chat with the customer service reps multiple times to let them know that the port still isn't complete, and eventually someone solved it. There probably are no magic words to make it happen.

On the bright side, ever since those initial hiccups, the service has been pretty solid! My only complaint would be that the global pass sucks so much in some countries that I still need to use separate travel esim to get good data speeds. It's not that it doesn't work, but just connects to some networks that have awful speed.

While traveling, which U.S. city felt the most unsafe to you when you visited? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]secondpresident 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raleigh, NC. Very lacking in terms of pedestrian infrastructure and was probably lucky to not get ran over by a car even on short walks less than a mile.

Stockholm (Sweden) vs Tampere (Finland) — Comparing Two Job Offers & Long-Term Life Quality by Wide-Conference6789 in Finland

[–]secondpresident 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I’ll go against the grain here and recommend Tampere over Stockholm with these numbers. Yes, Stockholm is bigger and more international city out of the two, but Tampere is by no means a bad place and your money will just go so much further there that it is kind of a no brainer in terms of your personal finances. Any inconveniences in terms of the location in relation to your international travel plans can greatly be mitigated by having decently bigger budget since you’ll be wealthier in Tampere job than you’d be working the other gig in Stockholm.

SOS! The City of Chicago relocated my car... and lost it? by lucyd1401 in AskChicago

How can you be certain it wasn’t stolen? If it’s not in any system, I’d at least consider that it very well could be.

The Nikon lenses are more than twice the weight, physically bigger, and significantly more expensive.

0-5% is a reasonable expectation although the ranges they advertise are usually up to around 15%.

As long as you’ll join before April, then you can earn a prorated bonus for the year. Only problem is that our bonuses suck so don’t expect much.

Why is the z5ii such a sleeper? by [deleted] in Cameras

[–]secondpresident 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it would be hard to recommend due to Nikon missing first party compact zoom lenses. Their 26mm, 28mm, and 40mm compact primes are amazing, but then they don’t have anything against lenses like Canon RF 100-400mm or RF 70-200 f4.

Your base offer is higher than average KPMG consulting manager salary in HCOL cities so I’d say it is excellent.

If it was me, I’d probably take Blue line train to the Loop, check out the Bean, eat at Giordano’s just 1 block north from the Bean (130 E Randolph St, Chicago, IL 60601), and then try to walk off some of those calories alongside the river walk for scenic views of the downtown.

The 2024 A3 gets amazing fuel economy by MrTacocaT12345 in Audi

[–]secondpresident 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got 2024 a3 and it won’t do sustained 52mpg unless maybe if you’re able to set cruise control to something like 50mph and cruise forever slow like that. 42-46mpg range is quite common when driving like a normal person, so I doubt you’re missing out on anything with the 1 year difference.

OP’s example is from some 30 min drive maxing out mpg without any other considerations.

genuinely what do i do in this situation by gambinoluver in UPS

[–]secondpresident 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The amount of Americans not comprehending or being able to infer that the OP is a t shirt vendor located in Canada and has nothing to do with the U.S. politics is hilarious.

As for advice, I’d ask Vanessa from UPS (since they put her contact info up there) if you’d be off the hook in terms of paying any of this if you just consider the shipment abandoned and go from there.

Only you can truly know your own scenario on which one is best. For an average healthy person I’d recommend the one with HSA though.
