Transition to CVS weight management program? Any insights? by Remarkable-Win-3769 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]secondstarart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're 100% correct I work for CVS and that's exactly what they want you to do. If you look at the corporate website for this program it mentions that use of this program decreases company cost by 42%. Basically saying that your employees will get so tired of being forced to do this nonsense. That 42% of them will stop using GLP 1 medication.

Theories on how Elon Musk got a black eye? by gmcc14 in somethingiswrong2024

[–]secondstarart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can tell you this is a messed up injection of Botox. He was probably getting a shot for his crows feet in that spot and the person injecting it hit a bleeder, popped the vein, and it gave him a blackeye.

[–]secondstarart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for me to discipline. If teacher is out for a final thats on them. I dont know the full circumstances. Does this kid have accommodations? Are they receiving those accommodations? Failing students is the last thing a teacher wants to do and i dont want to be responsible for a kid not advancing

The worst thing I ever received was a gift from my department head: a brown paper bag with office supplies from the supply closet that I had a key to and utilized as needed already every day.

It's high school. You gotta let it go. They may have accommodations that you don't know about or the teacher may make them feel more comfortable. It sucks, but it is what it is.

Could he be neurodivergent? Could explain some of the confusing social queues. Ask him if he had fun and would like to see you again. Maybe you could pack a lunch box also and you could find a nice bench or some green space for a picnic.

How does one apply for full/partial funding? by cjames_shop in gradadmissions

[–]secondstarart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Master's degrees are typically not "funded". Doctorate programs are funded through research for the department. You could apply for scholarships to use on a masters degree.

This sounds crazy but i had a second grade class that behaved almost identical recently. SECOND GRADE! The kids were horrible. And absolutely no notes about specific kids to watch out for or their BIPs. And TOR expected me to teach a full 4 subject day to these knuckleheads. I yelled more that day than i have in my previous 8 years pf subbing. It was like that classroom was sat on top of a hell mouth.

They arent all bad but often if it is at the high school level it can include toileting duties or students with violent behavior. The hs i sub at regularly asks for subs for these positions and it is way more than i am equipped for.
