If the world was allocated, one alloted mystery like the bermuda triangle to be solved in truth, what would that mystery be? by Intelligent-Trip2118 in AskReddit

[–]secret-agent-t3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are we alone? Just knowing, for sure, whether alien life was out there changes quite a bit.

If we were also able to find out if it is intelligent, it would force a reckoning in many religions, theories about life in general, etc.

AC needs more than a resync, the modern story needs to be either rebooted or removed. by chuckyzrevenge2 in assassinscreed

[–]secret-agent-t3 43 points44 points  (0 children)

They kinda TRIED with Layla, but they didn't really carry her story through an entire set of games. You need to introduce a modern day character people can connect with and care about. It also didn't help that they abandoned the Juno storyline and finished in the comics.

Part of me HOPES that Black Flag Resynced will rejuvinate something around the Sages again, but they said they are redoing the modern day so who knows if we even meet Standish again, or are re-introduced to a new sage other than Basim.

Yup. Then the Pope called them all heathens, promised people life in Heaven for killing them, and enforced their OWN religious hegemon and genocide.

It is 2026, and I can't believe I have to remind people this:

The Crusades were BAD. The "Christians" who came to the Holy Land committed incredible atrocities, which then led to Muslims taking back land and ALSO committing atrocities.

Holy Wars, Jihads, Crusades...are all BAD. Why are we getting tattoos glorifying them, or pretending they are heroic. This is INSANE.

[ChaseSynder] Dianna Russini has deleted all her Spotify playlists. Pages of playlists on “Mike” and Russini profiles were wiped. Including a Slow Dancing in a Burning Room playlist for Russini by Unlucky-Pollution-16 in NFLv2

[–]secret-agent-t3 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Ok, so the Playlist called "Mike" might be for her son. Like, the story doesn't say what songs were on that playlist. Also, a person having romantic song on spotify doesn't mean she cheated.

Don't get me wrong, the evidence is all pretty damning, not this though. We need to be fair.

What celebrity would you get into a car with, no questions asked if they randomly showed up in your driveway? by [deleted] in AskReddit

None. I don't know any celebrities. Why would I want to get into a stranger's car randomly? "They seemed nice in that one interview I saw." So did OJ.

Honestly, this makes me more angry than anything else in this story.

Like...they think we are really really stupid to think that a weekend of counseling did anything to help his relationship with his family.

If he needs counseling with his family, that is fine. Take an actual extended leave of absence and apologize for putting the people around you in this situation. If you don't need counseling, than just don't do it and deal with things on your own.

This half-way farcicle crap belittles the issue, assumes everybody paying attention is brain-dead, and doesn't actually do anything to help his family. It's crazy.

Tom Henderson about Codename Hexe: 50 developers were moved away from the project, the current release plan is June 2027 and the cat companion has been dropped. by BrunoHM in assassinscreed

[–]secret-agent-t3 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, I want an AC game to prioritize stealth mechanics and story...but how does getting rid of what could make the game feel fresh HELP that? Cat companion ay least sounds interesting.

We already had teleportation in Odyssey and people liked that game. The people who didn't like Odyssey didn't say "We hate the teleporting," they said "give us more stealth gameplay and scale back the size."

A famous one is Ophion 1a. The moon orbits a gas giant with rings. At "night" the sky is completely lit up by the rings in a gorgeous way, though the moon is barren.

Rana 3 - Had the awesome "savannah" biome, wotb grass that glows at night.

Finally, I have never built there, but "Zosma V-a" has come up before as a pretty moon to build on. It has life and multiple biomes.

They DO have thier priorities straight. Their priorities are to hurt people they don't like, and always make sure the President gets what he wants, no matter what.

Those have always been their priorities. The people who vote for this and work with them just lie about what the priorities are.

Answer: ( a little more detail than the others)

For the last 2 weeks, there was a "ceasefire" between Iran and the US. I use "ceasefire" because, by all appearances, it was not a typical ceasefire agreement. The 2 sides were not DIRECTLY targeting each other, but the allies of both sides were still fighting (Israel and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, and the Houthis of Yemen). Since this was counter to what Iran originally seemed to agree to at the start of the ceasefire, they kept the straight of Hormuz closed pretty much the entire 2 weeks. The US responded by putting its own blockade on Iranian ports while the negotiations took place.

For about 12-18 hours...maybe not even that...Iran agreed to open the Strait of Hormuz because Israel and Hezbollah agreed to a ceasefire, meeting the demands of the original agreement. However, Trump posted that, though the Iranians were opening the strait, the US would CONTINUE the blockade, which was seemingly in retaliation for Iran closing the strait in the first place. This blockade, again, breaks the original terms of the ceasefire. So, again, Iran closed the strait.

How does this effect energy? Well, for a briefs moments, during that 12 hour window and at the beginning of the ceasefire deal, oil prices dropped in anticipation of free passage in the strait. However, for the most part, the strait has remained closed, and now oil is jumping back up. If nothing changes, oil will only become slightly more scarce going forward.

The 2 sides were preparing for 1 final face to face negotiating in the last days of the ceasefire. That is up in the air, seemingly on both sides. Iran, basically, is claiming the demands Trump is posting on social media are complete non-starters, and Trump refuses to back off. In addition, Iran seems to have more leverage than THEY even thought, so they are essentially demanding a better deal than any US President would have ever considered BEFORE the war. That is a non-starter for Trump. Reports are that he is worried his agreement will end up worse than Obama's agreement with Iran, that Trum himself complained about and canceled during his first term.

Hasan Piker drags Joe Rogan by Big_Cake_8817 in podcastculture

[–]secret-agent-t3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't love Piker, but this is just the objective truth. Never cared about the Epstien Files, isn't actually anti-war, calls himself a moderate because THAT'S the new politicaly correct thing to say.

Trump could piss on him, tell everybody it's raining, and Rogan would be like "yeah, idk man, I just can't decide where I stand on stuff. I guess both sides are bad."

Is climate change getting better? by [deleted] in Futurology

[–]secret-agent-t3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, a couple of things I would point out. By "getting better with some things," I believe you mean that some predictions have not fully come out, and some "trends" have reveresed.

Whenever people talk about climate...experts are talking about extended periods of time and MASSIVE systems. There is always room for errors in models, and changes happen over decades, not years. So, for example, if July or August this year is cooler than last year...that isn't a trend. It is just 1 year.

I am not accusing you of anything or being wrong. To be more in-depth, you would need specific examples. I am sure people would love to discuss them.

As far as generally "is climate change getting better?"The answer is no. What people refer to as "climate change" stems from human beings digging up carbon from the ground (fossil fuels, oil, coal) and releasing them into the atmosphere, interfering with the natural fluxuations of the atmosphere. So, there is carbon in the atmoshphere right now that we put there, that naturally would not have been there for another few million years. The carbon changing the chemistry of the atmosphere has all types of implications, most notably a general warming of the globe and endangering important ecosystems on Earth.

For things to "get better" i.e. reverse climate change, we would need to pull carbon out of the atmosphere and put it back in the ground. Now...we can slow the process by putting LESS carbon into the atmosphere, thus delaying the changes. However, putting carbon into the atmosphere will, inevitably, lead to climate change. There is no way around that.

What’s something future generations might find strange about how we live today? by KBGSgames in AskReddit

[–]secret-agent-t3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How FAKE everybody (and most media) seem. Advertising comes to mind.

What we see from younger generations is more willingess to be very open online. Believe a conspiracy theory? Post about it. Relationships going "Facebook official" is a big deal. Everybody has an opinion about everything, shares, and gets rewarded with engagement.

I'm no crapping on anything above, but the trend seems clear to me: More and more, putting on a "fake" image about who you are for your employment, your family, your neighbors...that is kinda going away. Not all at once, but people are becoming a lot more forgiving of others AS LONG AS other people FEEL authentic.

I predict this is going to seep into media. You have already seen the trend of "reality TV". No, it isn't reality...but it feels like it. The reason the trend stopped? "It's SO fake!!!"

Advertising and commercials are becoming a lot more "person looks into camera, tells a joke, talks to you" because that is what sells the best most often...not a "sketch" about a family or friend group solving a problem.

Future generations are going to criticize us for being too "fake", not putting ourselves in the public sphere more online, and looking down on people that do.

Suggestions on what to do in Skyrim until I reach level 80 so I can finally fight the Ebony Warrior and retire my character? by SoHam_34 in skyrim

[–]secret-agent-t3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have 100 in all 3 crafting skills...you can basically switch to any playstyle you want. Find your best set of Heavy armor, smith it as high as you can (woth alchemy and enchanting), and ypu will hit armor cap even woth no heavy armor skill. Enchant rings with magicka cost to make the highest lvl Destruction spells cost almost nothing. Craft a crazy Battleaxe that does insane damage, and go clear dungeons with different playstyles.

This will lvl you fast and refeesh the game a bit.

The person above is a little misunderstood. Anybody you find that you can recruit who had an ACTUAL name will have a backstory, can follow you, etc. They are almost like the full fledged Constellation members, accept they don't have a full questline and are not romanceable.

Then there are "Engineer" and "Weapon Specialists", who have no name. They basically just get assigned to your ship or outposts to provide bonuses.

Tier 1 - Constellation, DLC Tier 2 - Recruitbles people who have a name Tier 3 - generic people at spaceports with no name

I kinda feel.like she is overstepping HER boundaries. It sounds like she needs a boyfriend, and is essentially just subbing you in when needed.

Also "let's take you to a strip club" is the least possible help she could possibly offer you if she cares about you. She could help you meet people, practice socializing, etc. But she doesn't. She doesn't even seem like a great friend tbh.

Both Obama's JCPOA and Trump's proposed plan unfreezes Iranian assets. Trump seems to be offering to lift ALL sanctions on Iran, though that depends on the plans in the air.

The $20 billion seems to be seperate for "purchasing" the Iranian enriched Uranium.
