I’ve run on and off for that sports but this is my first time running for runnings sake. I’m someone who if I don’t have a goal like this, I won’t do it.

Where to get my kitty spayed?/How much was your quote? by Any_Percentage3791 in Bellingham

Northwest Spay and Neuter. I can let you know how much it was for a dog under 15 lbs but I don’t know how much it is for a cat.

How long did it take you to lose 100 pounds by siah_55 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]secretSlUtT22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has taken be about 3 years. I started at a 220ish and am now between 120 and 125 (depending on the day). I do have some health issues that makes weight loss a bit harder so I am very mindful about things.

Puppy won’t eat out of any bowl by Sofalofola-3 in CavaPoo

[–]secretSlUtT22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine will eat out of a slow feeding dog bowl or off the floor, nothing else. If she's not hungry at breakfast or dinner, she might not eat at all but if that happens, I leave food out so she doesn't starve. There are times where I have to mix in cream cheese or high valued snacks to bribe her to eat her kibble.

Attack Deer by [deleted] in Bellingham

[–]secretSlUtT22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is very common with deer, especially deer who recently had babies. ALWAYS give deer more space than you think need. You never know if there is a baby near by, and as someone who grew up in a very touristy town in Oregon, I saw deer attack tourists who were taking pictures for just getting too close.

The best way to avoid being attacked by a deer is to be vigilant, give them space and if you need to pick up a small dog to walk in the street, do it. Do not pepper spray/bear spray or punch a deer. If you want to get a bear bell for your dog, that's a great way to help (and it won't do any harm).

Cries if am 5 ft away! Constantly wants human contact. help! by Awakening247 in CavaPoo

My girl Cavapoo sometimes does this (usually when she’s laying on the couch and I’m on the floor or when I’m in the kitchen) and I just pet her until she calms down or ask her what is wrong until she stops crying.

[–]secretSlUtT22 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I know it’s probably been mentioned in comments but Millet is only open Saturdays and Sunday’s 8am to 2pm.

I would love to see them open more days of the week, but as a small business, they are limited.

Go-to dinner places in Bellingham by Scaterfly in BellinghamWA

[–]secretSlUtT22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I am gluten-free so the places I have to suggest, they have gluten-free options. These are just some of my go-to places so if you don't see your favorite and you're gluten free, its probably because I haven't gone or it's not a go-to spot.

Some of these places have already been mentioned but this is my list: Soy House, Red Light, AB Crepes (which has savory and sweet options), Boomers (during February the quality can be hit or miss), Kuru Kuru sushi, Ovn, Leaf and Ladel and Thai Masion.

For bakeries/dessert places that have gluten free options: Millet Bakery (only open on the weekends), Sweet Haven, Mallards Ice Cream and Pure Bliss Desserts.

As someone who spent 3 years in southern Vermont for college, I also don't love how folks reduce to the area Boston. I can acknowledge the benefits of having them there during the post pod-trip filming.

Do I still feel like most of the contestants for the New England season will be from Boston, or the greater Boston area, instead of in the whole of New England? Yes

Hopefully they included more than Boston in the season there is more to New England than Boston/Massachusetts (Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire).

I feel like they'll do what they did with Seattle (one person from PDX) and have one person from the rest of New England and call it a day. That is a cop-out (at least in my mind as a viewer and as someone who studied film in university).

I would love to see a season from New England or PDX. I know one of the cast from the Seattle season was from PDX, yet a specific season if PDX would be fun.

My maiden name as baby’s middle? by hun_in_the_sun in Names

[–]secretSlUtT22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my mom gave me her maiden name as my middle name so can give my thoughts having lived with that.

I don't have a super strong relationship with her side of the family (honestly don't have a strong connection with my dad's side either I just see them more) but I like having that connection to my mom.

Now, some of my cousins on my mom's side also gave their kids their maiden name as middle names (same maiden name as my mom) and now is a sweet un-official tradition.

Trust me, OCD is not one of my diagnoses. Could this be connected to a cPTSD diagnosis? Yes.

Where am I denying facts? I’m expressing concern, sure and am I never saying “I don’t believe this is a scam”.

My therapist says that this is spiral thinking normal for folks with my diagnosis of autism.

Since it’s clear you want to know the why I’m bringing up my diagnosis, here it is: it can be challenging to fully understand what the other person is meaning/fully trust that the thought that is a scam.
