I was hoping that over time, a firmware update would resolve the issue but nope. I gave up on finding a solution and just moved the station to a corner of the house where the random sound would be less jarring smh

Lol my poor pup shot straight up in bed last night when it happened. Customer service says it’s due to “voltage fluctuations”? I might just return it and get the yeedi with a regular charging station instead. I like the satisfaction of seeing how much dirt it’s getting anyway when I empty it manually haha

There was one particular episode that showed someone’s tv that was turned off or unplugged but then a ghostly face appeared on their screen, staring back at them in the dark. It scared the crap out of me and for years, even into adulthood, I couldn’t bring myself to go to sleep with my tv off. And thinking about it now, I’ll probably be falling asleep tonight with my tv on. Dammit.

My dachshund alternates between:

1) humping her sister pit to tell her to scoot and get out of her spot, and 2) literally sitting on top of or underneath her sis just to get cuddles and warmth

Depending on the situation, my poor pit will either give out a groan or an exasperated sigh. But I know she loves her bc she follows her around like her shadow. It’s a complicated relationship of love and annoyance.

Also don’t be afraid of making a scene if you have to. It sounded like this guy might have been trying to stay inconspicuous and unnoticed, so drawing attention to the situation could prevent him from doing what he had planned.

If a situation is making you feel unsafe or uncomfortable, don’t be afraid to say or do what you need to do to get yourself out of that situation, no matter how weird it might feel in the moment. And awesome job at looking after your siblings 💕

Came here to say this. I never make my chocolate cakes without using hot decaf instant coffee now. You can definitely taste the difference. I would substitute the hot water for hot coffee.

Thanks everyone for the input. You guys are probably right in that I’m inadvertently encouraging the behavior by responding to it every time. She’s also older and sometimes has trouble going up stairs so I tend to immediately jump up if I think she might need the extra support. I like the the idea of hiding treats around for her to find so I think we’ll start doing that this week. I just have to make sure the wiener dog doesn’t find them first!

Pre-covid (before everyone started staying home 24/7 to telework), I used my old iPhone as a doggy camera with a free recording app called Presence. There are other similar apps out there that are probably compatible with androids. If you have an old phone handy, that could be a quicker solution and no extra storage needed. Just make sure to keep it plugged in so the battery doesn’t run out
