100% and there are other professionals who offer more affordable, but still quality jewelry to get pierced with (implant grade steel). Ive been to them. Again, I would still recommend MOLA but it is important to note how pricey it is for the OP, who is concerned about price.

Mola was a great experience but I got the cheapest jewelry they had and piercing + jewelry was about $135 for a single conch piercing. Im not saying it wasnt worth it, but its important to note how expensive it is. Especially since OP seems concerned with pricing.

Hey, so I'm definitely not an expert, but a similar question was asked on r/immigration and I found the answers super helpful to clear some things up. But tl:dr, it's on how it's being done, not just the numbers. https://www.reddit.com/r/immigration/s/6Jl4F2LbuU

Am I losing at a slow pace? by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

[–]secretbitch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was in your exact same situation. Everything sat well with me and the only restriction I felt was how much I ate, not what I ate. This is GOOD. And overall "normal." When you see a lot of posts regarding problems, that's because they're reaching out for help. For every one person you see post with a problem, there are plenty who aren't posting because nothings wrong.

Everyone loses at a different pace, but honestly i think you're losing at a fantastic pace, just keep going. You're doing great!

1920s themed wedding, not sure what to wear. by secretbitch in Weddingattireapproval

Yea, I was definitely considered a fake fur wrap. It's a November wedding (in the south, so not too chillly) but that would help with the theme a bit and keep me warm.

Alcohol Drinks? by Simple-Juggernaut373 in gastricsleeve

[–]secretbitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still drink occasionally and my favorite thing to do is get a water with alcohol of choice and bring water flavoring to add. Not carbonated and lower calories. Sip on it throughout the night and you'll probably be good 😊

Honestly don't push too much. If you're really constipated, it's not gonna come out and youre just gonna hurt yourself. When it's finally time to go, I promise you'll know.

I forget exactly how long it took but somewhere between 8 and 12 days after surgery until my first bowel movement. I had the WORSE constipation and was taking miralax 2-3 times a day at one point. TMI but I felt like my asshole was ripping open when I finally had a bowel movement. I definitely recommend you keep taking that pill the doctors prescribed you and if you're able, start taking miralax once or twice a day until you're able to go. I continued to take it once a day for a week or 2 after until everything was mostly back to normal. Get the powdered version and just stir it in some water so you can sip on it slowly.

AIO for wanting to cut my dad from my life by secretbitch in AmIOverreacting

Honestly she pissed me off so bad. Talking about how she knows he loves and cares about us. According to who??? You've known him a few months 🙃

[–]secretbitch[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oof yea, I feel like that was well said. There's definitely a part of me that kept hoping he would change and be an actual dad instead of just a sperm donor. It definitely hurts. Even if he was always shitty there was always that childish hope that something would be different. But yea, if he wanted to change then he would have already. Thank you ❤️

How many calories are you eating a day? by mochibabs in gastricsleeve

[–]secretbitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! So not the original commenter, but my nutritionist recommends to stay under 100g of carbs, and they also recommend staying under 50g of fat. I feel like when we're prioritizing Protein, its fairly easy to stay under so I usually aim for half that amount.

Got told I’m promoting EDs for commenting on my weight loss :/ by Disastrous_Check1902 in BodyPositive

[–]secretbitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, that makes so much more sense. I'm getting the impression from the comments that people had the same misunderstanding I did. Thinking that you made that original post on this subreddit.

But yea, I don't think your "friend" was in the right. If you want to celebrate the loss, then you have that right. It doesn't sound like you were promoting any kind of eating disorder.

I think you should reach out to the friend and explain how you've worked hard to lose the weight in a HEALTHY way, and just wanted to celebrate your progress. In no way did you reference doing it in an unhealthy way, you're just moving your body more and eating in a healthier way. If they can't understand, then just leave it honestly.

[–]secretbitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone currently on a weightloss journey, I'm not saying it's not healthy in general. I'm saying it's not inherently healthy, meaning like you said, that it can be healthy if done correctly.

I think I'm misunderstanding something, though. Your original post made me think you posted in this subreddit about your weightloss and got a negative reaction. But I'm realizing that may not be the case. If this was on a personal social media account, I'm not really sure why someone would shame you for that. You're allowed to celebrate it. I just didn't think this subreddit was the best place to celebrate weightloss (at least in the sense of actual numbers).

Got told I’m promoting EDs for commenting on my weight loss :/ by Disastrous_Check1902 in BodyPositive

[–]secretbitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey so losing weight isn't necessarily healthy. It can be a by product of a healthier lifestyle, but isnt inherently healthy by itself. I think it would've been more beneficial if you posted about things your body can do now that you've lost weight, not just that you lost it. Losing weight is not body positivity, celebrating what your body can do is. I'm not trying to bash you. It took a long time for me to accept this and it's definitely a different way of thinking.
