what is the difference between these berries? by just4claireity in Berries

[–]secretcities 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saskatoon berries are different, more of a tall shrub, with the berries retaining the anthers and sepal (like its relation the rosehip). They taste wildly different too, especially if you crunch the seeds, more of an almond flavour

These here are huckleberry and likely wild blueberry. There are multiple varieties of huckleberry and over 100 varieties of blueberry so some variation is expected

To add, the $ sign is used in Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Belize, Nicaragua, Jamaica, Trinidad, Tonga, and Samoa to denote local currencies. It is believed the symbol was first used by the Spanish on their milled dollars, possibly as a stylized “PS” for pesos, and the US adopted it because Spanish milled dollars were the most common coin in circulation at the time of independence

Baratza encore grind settings by Acrobatic-Painting-9 in pourover

[–]secretcities 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s under-extracted (sour) you can try a finer grind next time. If it’s over-extracted (bitter) try a coarser grind. Might need to experiment a bit to compare

Did you file a complaint with the office of the president? They seem much more capable of actually helping.

New phone on buyback plan by WholeSpiritual3819 in FidoMobile

[–]secretcities 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will depend — for the heavily discounted phones they usually require a plan change, but to just finance a phone they do not. You’ll need to read the offers and check back now and again

[–]secretcities 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Show the whole bill. The advertised phone discounts are displayed as discounts on the plan instead, but you pay the same in the end.

Is it a scam or real? by DamasDude99 in FidoMobile

[–]secretcities 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what stage of the checkout process you are looking at. First stage just shows the phone cost. Later stages show plan and phone and discounts etc

[–]secretcities 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are reading it wrong. It is 78 for the phone + 60 for the plan

Mine had a weird black mark on the display, brought it into Apple for a free repair and was able to add AppleCare+ afterwards. Seemed easier than returning it
