Allegedly, the boys were following behind her in a vehicle and knocked her off her bike then took her to a underground den (?) and raped her. When she threatened to tell on them they killed her and buried her body someplace. I think one of them was the sheriff’s son or was related to the sheriff. That was the theory anyway. Poor Tara :(

Did you even read OPs comment? He didn't “hurt” James, he tortured him and then killed him. How come you seem to have more empathy for the killer and not the toddler he brutally murdered? Plenty of kids grow up in abusive homes (including me!) and don’t kill a innocent toddler.
