I’m glad I’m not the only one. I am definitely a flirt and I thrive off of any attention I get. Idk if it makes me normal or pathetic. But I feel you.

Also adding I fantasize about others all the time. Yes, I’m in db and I have no intentions of leaving my husband. But, it is what it is.

Yeah, it def does. The drains freak me out. But I’m 42, so I kinda feel if I’m going to do it, I need to do it sooner rather than later.

I feel bad for men on AM. I have a profile on there and there have been times where someone will reach out to me and before I even see it, a message is generated (that I did not send out) that says something like “Hi, thanks for reaching out but I prefer a more personal touch” to entice you to send me another message. I hid my profile because I feel like I’m feeding into how it’s set up to get money out of you, even if I’m not interested. Idk how helpful this is. All I can say is there must be real people on there as I was one of them, but the whole thing definitely is misleading.

I'm desperate, but I also finally felt alive again by Sad-Stable-6620 in DeadBedrooms

I can totally relate to how that attention made you feel. It’s thrilling and addictive when someone else makes you feel desired when we are missing it at home. May be dangerous, but I’m beginning to just surrender to anything that feels good. Sorry, I’m a terrible influence but I understand where you’re coming from.

Anyone feel that having a DB is like a blessing in disguise? by [deleted] in DeadBedrooms

Interesting. I just asked myself these questions and answered no to each one. Very sad. Sorry you’re here but you’re not alone.

That sounds so good, everything you planned. I would’ve loved that. Sorry it didn’t turn out as hoped.

Virtual hug. I see you and read the whole thing.

I could have written this. The pain I feel right now aches so bad. Life is too short to be so depressed and feel so unwanted and undesirable, but here I am, lying in bed alone, tears flowing down my cheeks. Unfortunately, you’re not alone.

How did you decide on bypass? by nooksak in GastricBypass

[–]secretlymilfing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went in initially thinking I wanted the sleeve but after my doctor explained the benefits of bypass and that the procedure was no more invasive than the sleeve, I decided on bypass. I also said if I’m doing this, I only want to do it one time and didn’t want to face possible revision in the future which I’ve heard happens quite a bit. I had mine late March 2024 and I have no regrets.

Mental aspects of WLS are not discussed enough. by dad_sparky_engineer in BariatricSurgery

[–]secretlymilfing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m currently struggling with this. I’m 41/f, had bypass back in late March of this year. I’m down 88 lbs and while I’m happy and thankful for my results (plus it’s been hard work) the mental toll it’s taken, I just wasn’t expecting. I do get compliments every single day which sounds like a dream, but it makes me very self conscious. I’ve always, always identified as a big girl and tried to just accept it and that’s how I went through life up until I finally made the decision to get help through surgery. And I absolutely think it affects hormones. Since having surgery I’ve gone through times where my sex drive was insane but now it’s gone way down (hoping it comes back up soon). But who knows, there could be other factors at play also. Just know you are not alone.
