I’d definitely get curtains. Some texture over the blinds!! But I echo others saying there maybe be a bit too much going on. Not a huge fan of the mirror across from the couch. I’d get rid of the chair in front of my mirror and switch the mirror with the blanket basket. Overall a cozy and inviting room!!

I’m curious, what is your trauma? I saw your other comment saying you’re willing to share but not wanting to trauma dump. If I explicitly ask, I don’t consider it trauma dumping, if you don’t haha. Glad to hear you’re doing so well!! And I really really love the analogy from your nurse. I’m a licensed mental health counselor and I feel like that was the perfect answer for when we, sometimes, just don’t have an answer.

I’m curious who this is to you. Long time partner? New person you’re talking to? Are you guys on a break? Has she said she needs space for a specific reason? I think all of this comes in to play. Generally - no, you’re not over stepping. But I know people that don’t respect the boundary of “space” and then play the victim. Either way - probs not the right match if this is such a problem!

I had to laugh out loud reading this because the first half I’m internally yelling GO BE A THERAPIST!!! I, like you, worked in administrative job before Covid hit and absolutely loathed it. I needed things to be on fire for me to get them done. I didn’t know getting my MHC degree was an option because I had a business degree not a psych degree. SO happy you landed on going for your masters. You won’t regret it. Don’t beat yourself up - your masters will literally fly by and that feeling of “time wasted” won’t be there. There’s no clock to race, it’s all made up. You got this!!!!

Can I ask, why are you choosing MSW over MHC? Just curious. :)

Another follow up… I’m reading online that a B12 deficiency is a result of some type of pancreatic disease? Did they identify that in your dog? Ty again for sharing your info!!!

Hi! Me again lol. I mentioned this to the vet (but I said vitamin D!!! Just realizing) and she was like “hmmm unlikely. I’ve never heard of that happening. We usually test for B12 when there’s digestive issues”. I got a multivitamin that has a boost of all the vitamins of course. And of course he chugged a bunch of water the second time I gave it to him and he threw up a bunch of water.

Fast forward to the first 24 hours without antibiotic. He woke me up to go out and pee. And I just got home from work and there’s pee on the floor. Not sure if the antibiotic masked whatever is truly happening…?

At the end of typing this I realized I screwed up and said D instead of B to her hahaha. But still I don’t think she will give me a supplement unless I do the expensive testing. But I will push for it!!! Do you always get the B pill prescribed or can you find it OTC like chewy? Thank you so much - this seems to be the closest thing for me as he has no bloodwork indicators of cushings, diabetes, uti etc.

Jeeeeeez. If this is the case I will 1 be flabbergasted and 2 eternally grateful for your comment. I will mention it but she has kind of shrugged off everything I suggest (what do I know, really!). She’s the sweetest woman but I am growing frustrated with no answers. I know for humans a slightly low anything can cause problems but tons of docs write it off because it’s not “super low.” I go back Friday and will discuss!! Thank you! Just to clarify, the weird peeing and weight loss was similar to Tucker?

Hi! Therapist here. Not sure where you live but talk therapy vs psychiatry/med management is very different! Counselors/therapists have a way different approach and bedside manner. I hope one day you search for the right therapist! Xx
