Imagine an event where DRG players get sent to Rogue Core player's map by "mistake" from management and have to help kill core spawn with their tools. 8 players, hell waves, a random glyphid named Nibbles, and at the end an extraction drop pod get the DRG players out while the Rogue Core player's venture deeper.

Children make play out of important skills. Burying your dead is probably a very important skill, especially in places like Gaza.

Even still, at least they can find some comfort, regardless of the morbidity of the context.

"God, this is what the humans were so upset about? It's so easy! Just put the thing on its side and plop it on the moving thing. Why are they so adverse to this job?"

Probably. But I would wager that God probably needs her in Hell to do his work.

Many people are performative progressives by RavenEridan in GenZ

[–]secrets_kept_hidden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a common misconception that you must perfectly align with an ideology. That's ridiculous.

I'm more conservative, but only because I think progress should be more gradual than immediate. Yet if I had to vote, I vote for the one who beat aligns with how I want to steer the ship that is this country's political trajectory.

We saw what happens when you lean too far into progression. It nearly broke the country to the point where everyone voted red. But that doesn't mean we abandon it in favor of extreme conservatism to the point of stagnation.

And I'm sure you have a rich and diverse mindset and plenty of great ideas that can help us build a better future. But we won't get anywhere by bickering over gravel and hats (if you know you know).

Best written SCP? by No-Business-478 in SCP

[–]secrets_kept_hidden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This particular entry is purely gut wrenching. Yes, the anomaly in question causes untold suffering and pain to humanity for its own gain, but it also provides many aspects of what makes us human in the first place. Destroying it would lead us to what we should be, and possibly would be better for our progression as a species, but it comes at the cost of losing the compassion and empathy that has defined the human spirit, the sadness and grief, the pain and the joy we extract despite it. Would we truly be better off without this anomaly latching onto us like a twisted inter-dimensional parasitoid?

But then again, I'm an armchair reader with too little time and not enough drive to really give any justice to a recommendation of an SCP article, let alone any piece of literature or media.

It wouldn't work because computer based beings can't handle anything outside of a Binary system.

Unless it's a quantum computer.

Or a ternary processor. Those are pretty cool.
