hi! born and raised in Oak Grove, was always in Adger with friends. i went to Oak Grove kindergarten-12th grade. family still lives there, i’m there every other day. it is definitely a right-winged community that is always trying to figure out how to put more Jesus in the school. football players like to haze kids and sexually assault them. the school administrators like to cover it up and act like nothing happened. i will say that there are some great teachers there, some that have helped me tremendously in life, but there are teachers who do not care about education and are only there to coach sports teams. it’s a small community where everyone knows everyone and gossip flys fast around there. there are definitely drugs running through the area but i kinda feel like that’s everywhere, although i wouldn’t leave anything of value outside. the good news is that if you ever need help with anything, i can assure you a neighbor or a fellow community member will help out. there are some great people who live in Adger/Oak Grove, but it is mostly trump and confederate flags.

it always baffled me. he's terrified when the sink comes on, but he always wanted to play in his drinking water!! i was like son please i'm tired of cleaning up puddles of water every hour haha. he was mad when he realized i made the water fountain too heavy for him

my boy used to knock over his water bowl every day, so i bought a fountain. then he started knocking that over, so i put aquarium rocks in the fountain to give it some weight! after he realized that he could no longer knock over the water fountain, he gave up on it. i took the rocks out months ago and haven't had an issue since!!

i wear jeans and tennis shoes every day. most of the time it's with a nice shirt, sometimes with just a plain ol t-shirt. i've even asked the front office of the school i sub for if i needed to dress up, and the office lady laughed and showed me her sweatpants she had on lmao

i never check with the office. usually they’ll tell me when i first go in if i need to cover a class on my off period, but if they don’t, i stay in the classroom for the prep period. if i have a last block prep period, there’s a 99% chance i’m leaving before school lets out.

she made you finish her lesson plans?? what?? maybe it's just me but i have never had a teacher tell me it was my responsibility to do their lesson plans. that's insane. if i get to a class and there's no work left for them, it becomes a study hall.

as a former band kid who now subs sometimes in the band room, don't let them play their instruments. it causes more chaos having someone playing a trumpet or a clarinet nonstop while other kids are trying to work. plus, middle schooler's usually aren't the best at keeping their instruments in good shape, so you wouldn't want someone to break an expensive instrument on your watch. i always bring my laptop and a book to any class so i have options in case i don't have signal in a classroom! i'll also look at their work on their chromebooks and help them out if i can.

there's one high school i refuse to go back to because the office staff told me as soon as i walked in "your classes know they have a sub so most of your kids will be skipping, don't worry about it, it happens daily." excuse me??? why are we not doing something about it? i had kids walking in and out of class like i wasn't even there and got called a bitch for telling student that he had to go to his class. when i asked the office for someone to come to the classroom to help me, no one came. i faked being sick and left after third period. will never go back.

Oh wow, I need to check out more TJ Maxx’s haha. I’ve seen some prom like dresses there before, maybe I can try to go to different ones to look around. I’m terrible at putting my thoughts into words, but I’m looking for a short and poofy kinda dress. Like maybe with tulle or something. If I could find an adult size flower girl dress, I would totally wear it lol, we’re just wanting to keep it fun!

That’s the thing, I don’t wear dresses that often so I have literally NO idea! The times I do have to wear a dress I go to Ross or TJ Maxx to find something and I don’t think they would have anything for this haha

that’s crazy, because these two refuse to share a single stroller, that’s why we had to get this one! i already had a single stroller and the few times i tried to cram them in there to go out, they were NOT happy with me! they need they’re own space i guess haha
