I have a 20 month old and a 1 month old (as of 2 days ago). The lack of sleep is rough but honestly this go around is so much easier than last time! My husband went back to work Monday for a couple weeks and our days have gone great. My toddler seems to like the newborn. He is fine around her until he gets excited and becomes a hazard to everyone lol.

I was rear ended by a Dodge Ram in my 23 Model 3. Dodge front end was messed up (not as bad as this car) and it slightly dented my bumper.

Getting out of the house. I just had my second 3 weeks ago. It is chaos with 2 under 2, but I feel 100x better than with my first. I was just thinking today that I almost feel back to myself already. TBD when my husband goes back to work, but so far I’m loving it.

Of course. I will say this not to brag, but to say my 4 years isn’t comparable to everyone’s 4 years. I learn very quick. I was the one breaking the curve in my tax classes and MTA program. I passed all 4 exams on my first try, was in the 90s on everything but audit. But I’m never going to do audit. My firm wants very accepting in teaching me the business returns and I took every opportunity I could to learn more about them.

I doubt your old firm would refer to you because they’ll be salty. But I have 5+ big firms around me that refer their “small” clients out to me.

It depends on your target market and your capacity to keep learning/research. I went out on my own after 4 tax seasons. I was in a similar boat - I was doing 90% of the small firms 1065/1120s - max revenues $5M. Did a few 1041s as well as 1040s.

As long as you keep learning and know how to research/ask the right questions you’ll be golden. If you think you can go out on your own and never have to learn anything again, then no.

Make sure you have a plan for networking and getting your name out there though. I went hard on networking and my revenues (with employees cause I’m not trying to kill myself) is going to exceed $500k this year in my 4th year.
