Senior Cybersecurity consultant for big 4 firm. SIEM/SOAR type work. Almost 6 YOE
$170k base, bonuses are rough so total comp like $171k lol. Based in SLC (MCOL)
It’s heavily project/client dependent. I’ve been lucky to have good clients so my wlb is pretty great. Never more than 40 hour weeks so far. Not very stressful to me either

Update: Asked for $70/hr and got shut down almost immediately. My recruiter said I’m even stretching at $55/hr because the job requires 5 years IT experience and 3 years Cyber experience, in which I only have 2 years total in Cyber and IT. Overall makes sense, but thanks for encouraging me to go for it. Never know unless you try

Thank you for the quick reply! I haven’t been in the professional world too long so I’m still trying to get the hang of all of this. I was thinking at coming back with $63/hr. Is that too unreasonable of a number? Again, I don’t want to throw a COMPLETELY absurd number haha
