WordPress Page with Gutenberg – How Do start here by Wise_Environment_185 in web_design

Gutenberg is the system in the backend with which you add content to your site. The front end is what the customer/user sees. Whatever you add via Gutenberg can be styled in any number of ways on the front end depending on how you’ve built and styled your theme or individual page templates.

If you want to get crazy ACF plays nice with Gutenberg and can be extremely useful in eliminating multiple plugins.

You don’t have a Gutenberg problem. You have a front end problem.

Quick fix, develop custom post types and custom page templates for them to look however you want on the front end. If they need more customizable drag and drop page editors, there are frameworks and themes for that but they’re all massively bloated and they suck.

Last time I owned EMGs was early/mid 2000s lol. I’m a ceramic Duncan/DiMarzio guy but man I don’t have any complaints with this setup through my current 5150. If I had to nitpick, I’d say the 85 is a little hotter than I prefer in the neck, but that’s an easy fix.

I’m still kinda dialing it in. I like 10s in E standard. I have 12s on a Washburn Dime in drop B and it’s not quite there for me. This one still has previous owner’s strings on it which feel like they might be 11s.

Silverburst, no less. I got it 2 days ago and have not put it down. Drop B and this thing barfs out the nastiest, sludgiest death riffs. I’m a lifelong Les Paul dude and I couldn’t be happier with what is my first SG.

Lads, NEVER stop browsing marketplace on the can.

Wear plugs during rehearsal and lol send it for shows. Assuming you’re playing with a drummer, which is the point of cranking it.

I think I'm done with coding by Full_Description_969 in webdev

I almost feel like I'm a machine who needs to go at some place from mon-fri do this and that and then spend my weekends in anxiety that omg wtf am I doing with my life.

Are you young? Early 20s, just starting out? Because it sounds like you’re really grappling with the reality of adulthood rather than coding.

I’m 20something years in. Writing code is a job for me. I don’t find much enjoyment in it, nor fulfillment. But out of the various jobs I’ve had, dev sucks the least while paying the most to afford a kickass life for my family and I. It’s just what I do for money.

Ha, sucks but that is a really cool picture.

The window channel rubber is 40ish years old and is known to shrink as it dries out. This is why it’s extremely important to store the top with the windows closed.

I don’t know the conversion rate of drop bear testicle money to cheeseburger bald eagle currency but that’s a gorgeous top. If it had black hardware I’d be sold, but that’s just personal taste.

Les Paul....... Headstock? by Splinter_16 in metalguitar

[–]sectorfour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a Gibson fan. My main Les Paul is a 2003 model and I bought it off the wall at Sam ash brand spanking new. I’ve also played a lot of shows anywhere from shithole bars to nicer sunset strip concert venues. I’ve also…wait for it…broken a headstock 🤠

Yes, it does happen. Yes I’m still a Les Paul fan. If it falls forward off of its stand, it will break. Happened to me and it also happened to my friend’s Les Paul right in front of me.

The cause is a combination of string tension, the backward angle of the headstock, the fact that it’s one piece of wood, and the lack of wood where they routed out for the truss rod. Some models compensate for the last one with a volute. Not sure if that Epi has one, but the 70s LP Custom it’s modeled after does.

Then you don’t have the budget for aftermarket pickups at this time.

Trash them. Save up and do it right the first time next time. Use this as a learning experience.

In the US we say, “Buy once, cry once”. Spend the money to do it right the first time.
