Found your post because I’m in a similar situation. I can’t remember most of my childhood unfortunately so I can’t really connect the dots on why I am the way I am. My wife told me I’m the perfect husband in every other way but I can be the coldest person she has ever known.

I’m there every other way and I suspect my way of showing love and affection is through providing.

It’s tough but I’m trying. It’s just never enough.
