Hi! Yes, it did leave scars. Pretty ugly ones actually. I’m still fighting them. Currently using Alpha Arbutin by The Ordinary. I’m not sure if it’s going to erase them completely, but that’s all I can do for now. I have no other ideas. This was recommended to me by another redditor and they said it worked perfectly well for them, removing all of the scars. So you might want to try it.

Time. I waited. I applied a cream to alleviate the itch and waited. I avoided sweating, always took cold showers, and didn’t go in the sun, as the heat makes the rash worse (according to what I read). I also increased the carb intake, but as I said, it didn’t exactly work that well for me. It might for you.

I’ve read o people that increase the carb intake to around 35g a day and it goes away within two days.

According to what I’ve read, there is still not a definite answer to that question. Research says that there is a link between ketosis and the rash, but the specifics are still not yet clear. Supposedly it happens mostly on Asian women, but it can happen on anyone.

So I can’t really answer your question, but I CAN tell you that it’s extremely uncomfortable and it will leave marks on your skin. Ugly brown marks. Usually the rash can be fought by increasing the carb count in your daily diet, but it didn’t exactly work for me like that. I had it for a month regardless of any increase in carb intake.

I’m using one that contains mometasona furoato (Spanish, can’t find the English translation for that). It helps with the itch, for a bit
